Your website says the locker room is closed 11:45 to noon when in fact it was closed till 3 pm. When finished swimming the other day I had to leave dripping wet
My daughter loves the camp at the Y! They are active all day, have fun, swim daily too and the field trips are fun, different and educational. The perfect summer experience
The staff was very helpful and the facility was well maintained.
Love the pool with so many lanes! And the speed dryer for swimsuits - so much better than the one at the Somerset Hills Y.
Very informative it is going to help kids and adults to get ready for lifeguard job
Famosas tic facilities
My son enjoys his time there. He has asked to stay later. Hanging with friends and trips!
Even on the hottest days, the counselors were ready with appropriate activities for the campers.
This was my first time having my 8yr old son attend the YMCA. He had such a blast he can’t wait to continue to attend summer camp at the YMCA!
Great pool!
the pool is basically closed to members in the mornings from Sept to the end of June due to swim team practice. I would like to be able to swim early morning during the year besides July and August
Lack of available open swim hours. PS. I know that you can see who submits this.
I valued the importance of reviewing each swimmer’s abilities and potential so they can identify areas for improvement, learn from the process, and continue developing into stronger and better athletes as part of this swim team
Everyone was super responsive and helpful with any question i had
Friendly staff and facilities are clean and neat. Men’s locker room needs some upgrades. Water faucets need replacing in shower area and the scale needs to be replaced. Facility is managed well but just needs minor upgrades.
You keep sending this to the wrong email, despite my attempts to let you know. MB in Florida.
While the pool is amazing, the locker room could really use an update and a cleaning (the towel dryer smells moldy). And the hours are extremely unfriendly to anyone who works during the day or isn't a swim team member
The swimming pool is great, however the hot water supply to shower is very unstable and very unpleasant.
I like the intensity of the training and I’m impressed by the amount of instructions given by the coach during the practice. The athletes also seem to be of high quality. I wish the team only practices at Somerset Hills YMCA. The rest of the sites are a bit spread out.
replace the broken fan in the women's locker room. It has not worked in couple of years. Really needed on hot summer days.
The pool is great I always get my own lane and it is clean
Swim coaches need to improve. A particular coach gets frustrated too quickly with students and instead of motivating them, they feel discouraged and afraid of being targeted in the group. There is a way to teach skill without being rude.
Love the masters swim at the bridgewater pool.
Great archery instructors
Bridgewater Y is a great place to swim. The staff and members are friendly and caring.
Item was stolen from locker room and site director did nothing to address it. Poor communication, poor course of action. Really disappointed.
I find the water too cold, and the locker room old and not equiped for handicapped women. I only go to the Bridgewater pool when the aquatics classes are moved there from the Somerville pool
The whole building needs updating. The outside needs a good power wash and stain job. It is an embarrassment.
The pool temperature is way too cold, the locker rooms need updating, and there are no available rooms for land classes.
Given the lack of regard for our senior aquatics classes' members for over a year now, I would classify myself as a hypocrite to even invite someone to classes or even attempt to describe the obstacles we physically faced upon entering the building.
-the unsafe staircase
-the darkness of the approach
-the noise of jackhammers, various electric tools
-the dust and particles of the ceiling falling into the the pool
-the decisions by someone to arbitrarily assign our only choice to go to Bridgewater whenever plans for construction topped our needs all this while raising our membership fee
-the lack of communication regarding changes or messages
Positives:
Catherine O'Hara, our instructor
Ruth, always welcoming us with a warm smile and accurate information
the friends we have added over all the years, to laugh with each other, to support each other when someone needs it, to share recipes
Great facilities and ataff
always greeted with a good morning and a friendly smile.......
The Y has always been a friendly place
The friendly and helpful staff is always ready to assist. The Bridgewater pool is the best in the area and is well maintained. The camaraderie and friendly locker room experience are a positive welcoming experience.
The only real problem area is the shower room. Hot water system is unreliable and needs radical overhaul.
Pete Bruno
I enjoy swimming at the Bridgewater Y pool, it's usually not too crowded. The lifeguards are friendly and attentive, and the staff is welcoming and friendly. Overall, a great way to start the day!
ladies lockeroom is a disgrace
Same Swimming lessons are taught. Every time I see the same result that Breast stroke and butterfly is not accurate. In the next set of classes why isn’t the coach not focusing on breast stroke and butterfly first to correct the students. Students have the go through the free style and back stroke for majority of lessons and only in the last couple of lessons they will be taught breast stroke and butterfly and get the same feedback that they have to improve. These type of lessons will never help students to pass a stage and go to next stage. Highly demotivating !
In fairness, I’m a YMCA employee in the aquatics department, so hard to be impartial. The water is on the cooler side, but that’s what makes it perfect for swimming laps!
Convenience as nationwide branch.
Aside from swim team, there's nothing to do there. I wish there was a place where we could work out while the kids are in the pool. At the very least, some place where we can wait and do work that a little more comfortable than folding chairs and tables.
The locker room is not cleaned often. When you have two weeks close to improve the facility in late August, we expect to be fixed anything that are not in good shape and cleaned but this last year the locker room was not good shape. I wish the superviser could visit to see that at least minimal things are fixed, like the shower curtains. I don’t expect much but the cleanliness is very important to us. Also when you increase the remember ship rate, it will be nice to be notified in advance. Just send emails to let us know. We understand it is necessary to increase. Other than that I enjoy swimming at the Bridgewater pool. The guards are nice, too.
Love the size of the pool and Master'[s Swwim program. Locker rooms need to be updated, roof needs repair (Drips into the pool on rainy days) and water pressure needs to be addressed in the lockr rooms
Friendly staff and excellent pool facility
I went to the Masters Swimming Meet run by Ed Tsuzuki and it was the best! It's a nice facility and very friendly staff.
Staff is always friendly, love the pool length and number of lanes
Bridgewater Y only offers a pool. Most people I know are looking for a gym. BWT does not offer a gyn
If Pete is not at Bridgewater for 5 am, it’s a wait game until someone is awake and answers phone - even those in charge - to get someone in. Lack of care for those on schedule. This happens pretty regularly
The pool itself is great. The locker rooms and showers are so old dated. Could all do with modernising.
An old pool in need of renovation and other YMCA activities.
Construction has had a big negative impact-due to displacement and cancellations of classes. General inconvenience of access to the building, everyone wandering through everywhere has made for a somewhat chaotic atmosphere which has turned people off
