Wonderful staff at Kirn pool. Would like a notice if the pool is closed. Long trip to be turned away due to maintenance or staff shortages

The staff is always available to assist with questions and we have options as to which classes we can participate.

Friendly staff, friendly patrons, feels like a community. I drive out of my way for that and the sauna & pool hours.

That said, the showers could use some better water pressure/shower heads, and there's been an increase in the flys.

It is a really nice facility and I especially liked the hours for the pool access - it was nearly all day on Monday!

The swim instructors are absolutely amazing.
This is why I give a high rating. However, signing up for classes can be challenging. When questions are forwarded to aquatic management it takes several days for replies to voicemails or emails if any response at all. Other families have voiced frustrations about the lack replies also.

Great facility with many areas for exercise. Would love to see updated Expresso video bikes.

I ve recommended the Y to a few people already. I like it alot except the pool is sad. I love swimming🤣.

We have such good Professional Instructors who are friendly and knowledgeable with information to suite anyone, any age and with disabilities or not.
A healthy environment with many different types of activities to choose from. Come enjoy the fun 🤩

Child watch is a huge factor. The kids are safe and fun. And clean facilities, all the equipment you would want.

Bathrooms are regularly neglected. There needs to be a way for the work to be checked by management, done better or done more frequently.

Childcare is a nice perk. It’s the number one reason why we joined. Our kids usually watch tv instead of being taken outside or to the basketball court for some movement. That would be awesome if that could be incorporated.

Too crowded. Except for Kim, no one greets you at the front desk. Kim’s great! No staff on second floor to help out.

It is a comfortable place to workout

Love the large pool area, the indoor running track, and every piece of workout equipment that you could imagine. The staff was helpful and friendly as well.

I like the convenience, and the people...the staff is exceptional

the equipment is always clean ( it would be nice if we could foot straps put back on the Expresso bikes), staff is helpful and parking hasn't been a problem

I really like the group exercises classes. Dwayne is very encouring and pushes me when I need it.

Cost is an issue, also the dry sauna was remodeled poorly. The track changing directions is the right idea but signage needs to be better

Could offer more adult friendly options. Lots of children.

Great classes! Clean!

I like this YMCA a lot. My only issue is the TV upstairs near the cardio equipment has been broken or off for well over a year, and the TV’s on the ellipticals are often very fuzzy. I just like to watch something while I run to pass the time quicker. I would also recommend a water fountain near the pool/sauna, the one on the ground floor is a ways away on the other side of the facility.

I would like to see at least a couple nights per week with later hours. Also, what about a kids cooking class?

It’s usually not too crowded and the staff is very professional and friendly!

It has been very good. I like the equipment and staff is always kind. The only down is when some clients never finish their training in some machines training because they are on the phone for a long time.

Spacious, variety of solid clean equipment. Most of all, a great place to experience community in CB. Diversity, in all aspects.

Last but not least, ha ha… The sauna and steam room is a very healthy bonus (for me anyway)😄

A Fitness center, for what anyone needs to get done for overall health.

I've been a Y member for years! I have never been disappointed with a class or by the staff.

The group exercise room needs oscillating fans instead of the static ones.

And now with the humidity issues the floor is very slick and dangerous

Pool is too small and overall cost to members. Don't know many who would join given the current economy

Front desk staff are better than previously about smiling & welcoming everyone who walks in. Keep striving for consistency. The other issue is cleanliness. Group fitness room is often dirty. Back Stairwell hasn’t been cleaned all summer.
Love the variety of fitness classes offered.

It's a friendly welcoming place. However, the staff needs to do more about making general maintenance repairs. Toilets being out for weeks, paint peeling, another things kind of make it feel like it's starting to get worn and it shouldn't it's a new facility.

The Y is a great value for your money and offers a wide variety of activities
And exercise options. In addition your membership allows you to use
Other Y locations around the country. It’s daily schedule gives you
Flexibility to get a workout in whether early or late in the day.

My son enjoyed having Megan as an instructor. She was fun, very patient and encouraging

For the amount of money it costs for swimming lessons, better quality more formal lessons should be taught with instructors who are motivated and actually come prepared with skills to learn and a plan. The instructor my child had stood around a lot, didn’t seem enthused or prepared with a formulated training plan. Waste of money.

Love my community Y! The front desk, to the fantastic daycare workers while I get my workout, the instructors for all my classes and all the friends I have made! Thank you!

The place is kept clean. People are welcoming and respectful.

If I had any days but MWF free, I’d have to find another gym. I’m not walking clockwise on a track. Nobody does. Dogs,horses, people, cars, it’s always CCW. Change for the sake of change is unnecessary. Other than that, it’s a great place.

I enjoy my silver sneakers exercise classes very much. The instructors are welcoming and friendly and make classes fun. Staff at the front desk are friendly, the building is clean, and there are a wide variety of things to do.

Convenient, awesome staff and great price

It is frustrating that the pool is not available due to repairs so often. There needs to be a vacuum for the regular pool as well as the therapy pool. That way, both areas can vacuum daily.
