I most enjoy aqua fitness the girls ,gentlemen areall great they ofer different exercises to each class i attend at different times
I did to my daughter Christine Farrell and her children and to Nicole Farrell and children in know Christine is your told her to wait
Go back to former system for using pus membership change room for plus members, not just everyone that swims. Now it is very busy and sometimes unpleasant.
Friendly helpful members and staff.
I enjoy the friendships and love the workers who keep the Y going on a daily basis. The facility has great potential but the maintenance is lacking and it is not kept as clean as most would like.
Friendly, clean, great assortment of activities and programs.
Recently, the 2 swimming pools have been occasionally closed.
I would like to see the lap pool open from 1-2PM on weekdays.
I'd appreciated if you'd inform me of today's lap pool closure before I found out in person when I showed up this morning. I would also appreciate it if you'd keep the August lap pool schedule as is, rather than having to have it closed between 10-10:30 in the coming months. Thanks
Everyone is friendly and professional
Very welcoming, reasonable monthly fee and excellent selection of exercise equipment
Just a nice place to go for a swim or sauna and use the exercising equipment
I am liking the aqua fit classes. I would like to see some offered on the weekend, more specifically Sunday for those who work through the week and Saturdays. If someone works through the week- there are only 2 evening classes offered during the week with sometimes up to 25 people attending! With roped off swim lanes that number of people doesn't allow much space without being too shallow or deep for people to move.
I was surprised at how tired the changeroom showers and steam room appear. The aquafit teachers are good, predictable week to week- some varying degree of a change would be nice so it doesn't get boring and repetative.
I would like to see a monthly calendar emailed for classes- so that its easy to access the information.
Nothing seem's to change at the YMCA. so why do these . I ask and ask and all I get is the run around.
I like the family atmosphere. The staff are wonderful. My favourite part of going there are the aquafit classes. Beverley and Kaleb are amazing!
Expensive
I enjoy the opportunity to participate in aquafit classes in both daytime and evening because I am a working professional who works shift work, days and afternoons alternating every other week.
Facility is great, but could use some quality of life updates. All the machines are older and unkept, lots of unsupervised kids in the weight area during summer months who are misusing equipment. Pool sharks kick people out of lanes for practice when it’s not listed or noted on the website. Soap dispensers are empty 90% of the time I go 4 days a week.
Staff are outstanding and facility is clean
I like the staff, programming and services.
Hours are not all that great
The facilities and wide range of fitness programs for all abilities is great here at the Y.
The gym is very well equipped and there is always someone knowledgeable to assist and answer questions.
I enjoy the walking track very much. Often it is difficult and dangerous for me to get around outside but I can get a safe and beneficial workout with the indoor track.
Pool facilities are great, I love seeing people of all ages enjoying themselves and socializing.
All staff are very friendly and helpful.
It's quite expensive and the gym area can be crowded. It's also annoying when lane swims are restricted by the swim team blocking off 2-3 lanes. I have tried to find a schedule to work around this, but have been unable to.
Have more friendly and attentive staff as many just sit in the office on computers or phones? And many clients Do Not wipe down their equipment after use. Thanks
More affordable pricing and better hours.
Positive family oriented atmosphere. Pools, gym, workout area, indoor walking track, child minding etc.
I liked the extra amenities found in the change room (steam room, bathing suit dryer)
Your costs are far too high! For seniors over the age of 60 it should be 50% without having to prove income. You are great for immigrants and those less fortunate at the expense of others just trying to get by. I would like to see more activities geared toward seniors. Aquafit classes at night more than two nights a week would help. You just stopped Saturdays which was also disappointing.
It very clean and friendly...lots of classes but I have not done yet
I enjoy aquafit 3 times a week!
I live the space and the people are amazing
The front desk staff are all very welcoming and extremely helpful. It feels when we come in that it matters we are there. There is a relaxed but focused energy in the building.
I've spoken with staff about obtaining a rope that could be used to pull the weighted sled, and I know there is consideration being given to how best that might happen. Thank you for that. This would be the final piece of equipment needed for the Y gym to say they have everything required for anyone who is training for a HYROX event. Perhaps there is a marketing advantage in that?
One other thought: When the turf area is being used for sled, wall balls, lunges, TRXs, or other activity, there isn't much room for those who like to use the area to stretch. The reverse is true as well. I think moving the rowing ergs out with the bikes helps to free up a bit of space. Helping people be aware of the multiple uses of that area would likely make a difference too. There's space for everyone.
Happy to be a new member!

I like the Y but there are some problems. The cost is one. There are too many equipment break downs and too little communication to the members. The pool could be cleaner. Showers are much better now. The people are friendly and pleasant and I love my aquafit.
The staff are all very friendly, especially Anita who recognizes us every time we come back to Chatham for a visit. There is also a guy with a big head of hair (sorry, that's my best description) who also recognizes us and is very friendly and welcoming.
The structure, oraganization, equipments, environment. All deserve 100%.
I go to the water exercises. The water is perfect, the teachers are excellent., and ON TIME Facilities are clean. They also provide a swim suit dryer!
Reception is friendly and welcoming. I always recommend the YMCA to anyone I have interacted with.
The professional, kind and friendly staff are top notch 👌 We can't ask for better help. The facility is clean, well laid out and easy to navigate. The programs available are wonderful because of the range of age and level of fitness.
Chatham location weekend hours are too short, towels are not long enough
Life guard that just got off injury is very rude to me and my son pool times for the kids could be more
I use the equipment upstairs--an occasnional appaerence of a coach would be appreiaated.
Very nice place super friendly
Sometimes it would be nice to have some of the classes held during the daytime appear in the nighttime as well. Such as chairfit class. Or offer the chairfit class on another day of the week.
The CK YMCA is a family friendly facility that encourages positive growth through a variety of resources and programming. The staff are always welcoming, supportive, and helpful within a comfortable environment, where "everyone belongs."
Love so many options to choose from. Aquafit groups are so friendly.
One suggestion…why aren’t the blinds in the workout area kept down to keep the hot sun out in the summer?
Friendly staff, clean environment, good equipment.
Staff and members talk to and help one another. A friendly place.
I like how engaged my children are in the activities. This is our first registered program for my youngest child and I really enjoy watching him smile when in swim lessons and floor hockey
I always enjoy my time at the Y and have made life long friends.
Why send out these surveys...nothing changes...responses from sauna guys
It is a clean, friendly, pleasant, well run facility with good equipment.
