The pool in general is not very clean. People (including staff) wear their outdoor shoes on the pool deck. I brought this concern up to staff and nothing changed, except a lame printed sign in the change room. Culture doesn't change without being enforced and needs staff to lead by example. Staff do not enforce no running on deck, which is not helpful when trying to teach safe pool rules to tiny humans. I also brought this up and it is not regularly enforced. While swimming is supposed to be fun, there are rules for a reason. Staff seem unaware/uninterested when watching the pool, which made me nervous as a parent, especially when class sizes are too large in my opinion. Class sizes should be smaller to ensure the instructor can be more available. I literally watched a kid struggling with a front float while not being watched by staff. I was ready to jump in, that is how long it took for staff to grab the kid out of the water. Staff play with their floatation devices, they zone out. As a parent I felt it necessary to be on the pool deck and actively watching my child swim. There was no consistent instructor, so I do not understand how they are supposed to grade or understand skill level of each swimmer. Some instructors seem to have no lesson plan, one class the kids were just bobbing for sinky toys and she wasn't even watching consistently to know if they were doing well. Which tells me that it was not a skill development exercise. I am beyond disappointed with swimming lessons at the YMCA, I can't believe how much we have paid for such a poor service.

As a black person going to this particular branch and of course paying in full without a subsidy, I will definitely not recommend this to anyone because of how I and my kids are being treated by some staffs most especially Kassidy and Anita. the reason I'm being specific is because Kassidy is the one who oversee the art last year and for unknown reasons my kids will always come back to say she's always ignoring them while to pay attention to other kids. why she does that I can't say cause I don't know her or have any issues with her. Secondly, Anita. I called to report my kids absence and while speaking to her on the phone with no acknowledgement whatsoever she banged the phone on me and if the calls are being recorded I can provide proof of the date I called. My kids have so much complains about people but I just tell them all the time to mind what they're going there to do which is unhealthy cause one of the reasons we signed up for ymca is for us to socialize and not the other way round.

Easy and fun for kids

I have enjoyed how much fun my Child has enjoyed the all sorts of sports program as well as trying out pickle ball and rec swim with us all around fun for us

My son was always excited to go. He is a very shy kid and usually is a fight to go to any classes. But the storybook art class he never complained going to and was excited to go each week which was such a great change! Staff were great and he loved the class

The instructors are fun and energetic. They get to know the kids.

The staff are -so- kind and wonderful! We are so pleased to know that our son has fun every day after school with his friends, supervised by your caring staff. We know he gets a nice snack and lots of time to play outside. It's also given my partner and I the availability to manage our work days with less stress. For all of this and more we are so grateful to YMCA for after school care! <3

It was my 4 year old's first time going to a day camp, the camp leaders did an excellent job reassuring me and my son had an amazing time. They are very well organized. The team is really passionate and loving towards all the kids. My son enjoyed all the different themed activities they had planned each day.

The variety of activities my child can participate in is the reason he wants to attend YMCA camp.

My concern is with some Counsellor who run any daytime or afterschool program. Where as my child have been involved in a few injury incidents. Agreed that mistakes happened but not excusable when staff aren't supervising nor participating with children, not off in corners carrying conversations with other staff members of their weekend plans. Parents put trust in these workers to monitor them while they are in their care for parents to do their thing throughout the facility. I'd like to see more involvement from Counsellor with the children on board. There higher earned wages should not be meant for handing out with other staff members.

Love the staff, they are amazing with the kids. Lots of fun activities and they have a wonderful rapport with them.

The programs and instructors are very inconsistent. The kids participated in soccer and basketball last year and loved it. We've tried Friday night gym and swim and it's not very good (swimming is OK but the ninja part never happened and the kids were devastated). Dance this year has not been good either. Poor leadership and not enough dance instruction.

All types of activities and soorts offered for kids of all ages

I love the programs offered at our YMCA. My children are introduced to many activities through our membership and I can really understand where their interests lie. I love our local YMCA. The youth teaching the sports are all very knowledgeable and are great with the child.

They are fun for the children and the instructors are good with the kids. I also appreciate how accomodating the staff are about getting the kids to the programs from playzone or vise versa.
