This is a convenient location. Would like classes run by a live person rather than virtually. Most tof the 8 am+ classes are now held virtually.

It’s always very clean: the equiptment, floors, and bathrooms. All the new machines that got put in around last year are amazing.

It’s so small!! It appears there is room to add on??

It just felt crowded in a small area where its weight lifting and cardio combined and almost all the equipment was being used so you had to share or wait for the equipment to open up

When class was almost over people started entering the room. They did not give you time to pack up your personel items before they were trying to lay down their mats. Maybe have 10-15 minutes before next class begins.

with so little gym space, each machine needs to be optimized. wish hip thrust machine had belt instead of foam bar, like the Schertz Y.

The facilities are always clen and the staff is professional friendly

The work out room is small and very crowded. The equipment seems to be piled up too close in some areas. This causes people to take turns working out to avoid accidentally hitting each other.

Clean the floor and move machines on a regular basis. There’s a ton of dirt all over the workout / machine room.

Very few treadmills and small space. Feels tight with weights right behind you when you are walking. Very hard to get into classes due to small group room.

I just wish there were a little more machine variety/ bigger facility.

I would be nice to have a sunna after a good workout

Mainly the variety of classes offer for seniors. Your staff goes above and beyond to help us in classes or at the counter.

The YMCA provides a safe and encouraging environment for older members to make friendships while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Encourage members to CLEAN UP after themselves when done with using the equipment - this is just nasty. Also, please have members stop throwing weights - this is not allowed in most gyms and extremely loud.

It’s nothing you can do about and totally understandable, but we joined to have a place to play basketball for training purposes and the courts are always taken w youth sports during the evenings. So it has not really been worth it for us. Other than that the place is great. It’s just not meeting the needs we have which can be frustrating. And the Cibolo Y doesn’t use the APP to show when the gym is open or not so we have to call which I’m sure is annoying for the desk staff.

I love the classes, equipment, child care

I love the new free weights and the new machines and yoga. A very friendly and family oriented gym!!

We love the Cibolo Y! The kids care, parents night out/parents day out and staff are always helpful and fun loving with my daughter. I also like how the gym is smaller than the Schertz Y.

The staff are kind, the facilities are clean and well maintained, and the equipment is great. I am very happy here.

Classes and schedules are already set and easy to book and easy to cancel if needed. Big variety offered.

I really like the foreverwell classes! The staff is very friendly and helpful! The only thing I have a concern is about non-seniors being able to sign up and take up spaces in the already full Foreverwell classes.

I like the atmosphere at Cibolo ymca. I live closer to Schertz but I will drive the extra 10 minutes because Cibolo tends to be less crowded. Also I love the body pump class on tuesdays and thursdays; Christine is a phenomenal instructor. The only reason why I rated a 9 instead of a 10 is because I need to gatekeep it a little because I don’t want it to get crowded.

Someone recommended this facility to my and I am liking it. So yes, I will also recommend it to anyone.

I enjoy the exercise classes and the instructor’s are great. Sandy has such a cheerful personality. She can definitely make you laugh and smile. The body pump and barre classes are my fave. I would like to see them on schedule more. I also like the atmosphere itself at the Cibolo Y. My only complaint is that they don’t clean the floors in the exercise room. You can see sticky spots with dirt on them. I feel they should be cleaned daily. The room has a lot of traffic and needs some attention.

The Y is extremely clean and well staffed. Wish they could use the land next door for a walking trail.

Friendly and welcoming staff. The areas are very clean. Love the new equipment but it is very crowded in that area and creates a tight environment. The city has outgrown the building and if money wasn't an issue it should be expanded.

The Cibolo location has made some improvements to the gym area that were great, but the overall gym area is still relatively crowded for the amount of equipment in the space. Even with the crowding though we lost some equipment with the upgrade, for example we lost the abs cable machine this is something I used every other day when working out and floor space is limited to try and do this laying on the ground. The rules are not enforced at all at this location, I often see children under 10 in the gym area unsupervised apart from the parent, I also see bare feet, and sandals regularly, people on their phones working out like it's their personal gym. The phone is the least of most people's concern, noise canceling headphones solves that, but the others are safety issues. I figure those would be of concern to management in the event of an injury who will be pointing fingers at who. Many of the new cable machines that were set up were not set up properly, so you have new equipment being damaged simply because of improper setup, sad to see a substantial investment be ruined because of this. I do love the fans that were installed this gym used to be so stuffy all the time, the fans made a world of difference.

I love coming to the Y. I am able to focus on my workout knowing my child is safe and cared for in their wonderful child center. I throughly enjoy the workout instructors and classes they have to offer.

The YMCA provides a wide range of programs catering to all age groups and families. It features a very supportive and inclusive atmosphere.

The workout area has been muggy lately despite the large fans. It would help to lower the air conditioning one or two degrees. Also, can we please start enforcing the dress code?! The lack of appropriate tops on some of the men and women is getting to be a bit too much. My teen son comes to the gym and it's turning into planet fitness with some of these outfits.

I love the foreverwell classes! They give you cardio, strength and balance while always paying attention to our foreverwell bodies! They have great instructors and music!

Evening pickleball would be good for people who work

I mainly have a YMCA pass so that I can play basketball with my family. However, is someone that has a job they never seems to be availability because there's always youth sports or Pickleball even on the weekends or after work. It's pretty much booked there really needs to be some type of open gym during the week or the weekends after work hours.

It's just the size of the weight area. I believe that the population of the gym is almost capped for the size of the weight room

Honestly I just like the laid back feeling and atmosphere of a place that I can do a good workout without feeling like I'm around a bunch of bodybuilders. You have both young and old here.
