Family friendly environment nice staff clean facility
Wonderful staff very friendly and if they don’t have the answer they will find someone who does! Love this YMCA, family friendly and very very nice!
Great instructor
The classes are wonderful and the sense of caring and community is priceless.
I do all the time! Carolyn is a great instructor!
Friendly atmosphere and variety of activities
We highly recommend this soccer camp! My son had a great time with new friends while improving his soccer skills. The coaches were encouraging, and it was a fun, positive experience from start to finish.
The coach was great kid friendly.
Eden YMCA isn’t for people in wheelchairs! Went there to swim, the pool lift wasn’t working. Luckily, I (mom) and a friend was able to lift him in and out of pool . There isn’t an area to dress or undress someone that requires total care . When I said something to the guy at the front desk about not having a working pool lift, he seemed unconcerned.
I like how Nick is trying to improve the kids sports. The spin classes are great! Just wish there were more fitness classes
I love the exercise classes. There is a lot of variety. Also the staff is friendly and welcoming. They make you feel like family
Staff are friendly, clean facilities, pool temperature is comfortable, music is "retro" for most part; the overall social atmosphere is "uplifting" (as far as i am concerned)...The ONLY reason i do not submit a "10-rating" is: it doesn't have a steam-room to relax in.
I realize it’s an old facility but it looks dirty. The carpet in the women’s locker room is possibly 25 years old or older. The women’s n girls locker room is COLD and no separate dressing area for a mother/grandmother and 3-6 age son/grandson. That age Can NOT be in a dressing room alone with older boys.Several showers do not work. The carpet in there appears to be about 30 years old or older. The pool bottom is probably “clean” but it looks dirty.
I do see a “family” changing area but there is no shower and looks like a dungeon.
Also the pool needs afternoon open hours on Saturdays
For older people who do not have small kids the Eden Y has nothing for me. The gym has all old equipment. If it was not for Jerry there in the mornings I would not go at all. I joined Plant Fitness the other week just to see there new equipment. That gym has been open for about 5 years now and just the other week ALL new equipment was put in. It is hard to be a Y fan when you have to ride by PF to go to the Y at 5am and it's 50 cars there and 2 to 3 cars at the Y. Sad to see.
Workout atmosphere, friendly staff
Lots of fun things staff is doing! Loving the new ideas
Likely to recommend.
Love the Water aerobics
Ladies, locker rooms need to be refurbished and updated bad
Great exercise, comraderie with class mates, excellent instructor, and lifeguards.
I enjoy the water aerobic classes. I am unable to exercise on land, so the aerobic classes meet my needs. I enjoy exercising with others.
I enjoy seeing Jerry, Diane, and Pat in the morning. They seem to enjoy their jobs and have ALWAYS made me feel welcome. Their authentic and agreeable character make them an exceptional part of the Eden Y team. Keep up the great work!
All the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Always ready to answer any questions I might have.
Would love to have another hour or two of play zone earlier in the day, so we can come a little earlier. Maybe a karate class or art class for kids. My son would love that!
Great Equipment! Great People!
Overall, we have enjoyed youth sports at the Y for years. My kids were disappointed last year when rained out games were not made up. We're hoping that policy doesn't continue. Otherwise, we have no criticism. Keep up the good work!
You're doing great. Everyone is friendly. The gym for pickle ball is very nice.
The program is well planned! The coaches are very good with the kids. They keep the parents well informed!
We love sports and the after school programs! The kids enjoy it and actually want to go! I am disappointed about the summer changing we look forward to them going while I work because their around friends and get to enjoy summer! While if they have to stay with grandparents they will be inside all day with tablets! So the summer hours changing was a little disappointing but we understand!
This was our first experience playing basketball and being part of a team. Coach Hyman did an amazing job getting to know all the kids strengths and weaknesses. They made a great team. My son had a great time, it improved his self confidence and will be back again next year if he doesn't make the school team.
We just started so we like it so far
people are great! Hours are great!
Need new equipment and more hours for child watch
It would be a lot easier if there was a dedicated family locker room and bathroom with a shower so it's easier for moms with their children because if my husband is not with me, it makes it very difficult where my sons are too young to go by themselves in the boys locker room. Other than that, we love it!
Overall, I feel that the Eden YMCA has lost its community feel. My favorite time to enter the doors is at 5am. Jerry Davis and whichever lady is working the front are so sweet and inviting. They make you feel welcome and a part of the YMCA family. For me, after that time passes and I enter in the afternoons the feeling has completely changed. Most faculity members don't speak, and it feels cold. I have been a Y member most of my life. The Eden YMCA has always been one of my favorite places, but over the past few years, it has declined. The only reason that I have kept my membership is because of the feeling I get there early in the mornings.
Both Jerry and Pam are so good. You get a very good workout.
Everyone is knowledgeable and friendly
The instructor, Carolyn, gives us a variety of exercises that maximizes all areas of the body. It has helped me with joint movement so I can continue to be independent. I love the group members because we encourage each other and help establish weekly goals.
I enjoy the pool the most & the water is comfortable to the body not too warm & not too cold most of the time. I say that because when it's cold it makes the bones in older people ache more resulting in it doing more harm than good. I do realize that there are a lot of swimming competitions going on during the school year & the water needs to be a certain degree in order for them to swim better. I also am concern as to why there is a shutting down of the pool at 12 pm when it closes at 1 pm. There are many classes doing the morning hours giving the freelancers' less than an hour to spend in the pool when they have to get out for ten minutes and go to a very cold locker room wet, it's fine in the summer because we can go outside at the Eden Y. I am not complaining but just wondering was the members taken in consideration when enforcing this this issue for breaks instead of having them being relieved. We have a superb management of our pool area & it's very clean I can truly say that the lifeguards are all very respectful, kind & polite. I also like the weight room it is also clean & has very useful machines that I sometimes use. I also enjoy the activities that are presented at the Eden Y such as Bible study ,games for seniors & etc.. I look forward to going to my Eden YMCA
Provide more pickleball opportunities and add more courts.
We love how the coaches work with our daughter. She is learning so much! They are so patient and always happy to help her be successful. Connor and Heidi have made our first year of swim team an amazing experience!
Our experience with this swim team has been nothing short of amazing. After years of feeling overwhelmed and frustrated with how things were run in the past, this season has been a complete breath of fresh air. The organization alone deserves high praise—everything has been clear, timely, and well-communicated. Practices, schedules, and expectations have been handled so smoothly, which makes such a difference for families trying to juggle busy lives. Most importantly, Coach Connor Griffin has been phenomenal. His leadership, consistency, and dedication to the swimmers truly stand out. He brings structure, positivity, and genuine care to the team, and it shows in both the athletes' confidence and performance. The kids feel supported, motivated, and excited to be there—and as a parent, that means everything. This season has reminded us what a well-run, positive team environment should feel like. We're incredibly grateful and couldn't recommend this program more highly.
Since joining with the GCY-Makos, swim is much more organized. Issues we had in previous years with signing up for meets and paying for these are no longer an issue. Practices are run efficiently and my daughter has improved so much this season, getting her first ever regional times. The little things like Coach Connor taking the time to show the kids who had never swum at the GAC how the dive blocks are different than what they are used to in Eden have meant so much. The level of not just coaching but also caring is extraordinary. After the past few seasons, my daughter wasn't sure that she wanted to continue to swim, but she has found her love of swim again. Thank you to the Makos coaches for this!
Great environment friendly staff and my child really enjoyed it :)
Love the fellowship and how the YMCA staff works hard to get this free league for our community.
Our girl's had an amazing time participating in winter basketball and cheerleading! We will be back next year! Thank you to all the volunteers who made these programs available.
Convenience. Friendliness of staff.
I love that the kids aren't judged
Universal things to do, great atmosphere!
I love the people they are very welcoming and helpful, I love everything they have to offer and how clean they are
