My daughter loved her week there this summer and last. Fantastic activities, great kids, fun counselors, gorgeous setting - what more could you want?! She loves that they get to choose their activities. Her overall report was that it's "SO fun." Thanks for running a stellar camp.

This was my daughter's 4th year attending but my boys' first time at BMDC. They had the most amazing time ever. One of my boys fished for the first time and learned that he absolutely loved it while the other explored in nature and loved it all so much that he cried after he got home on the last day because it was over. Even my almost 14 year old had a great time and wishes she was able to go back during the summer. The staff were amazing and easy to work with especially when it came to accommodations for medical concerns. Highly recommend to anyone interested in getting their kids out and about and not sitting around on electronics all summer. This was the real deal, outdoors in the wood experience that teaches kids about nature while creating friendships memories that will last for years to come. BMDC was a hit for this family and the kids cannot wait to go back next summer for even longer!

My son absolutely loved his time at camp. He always felt safe, cared for, and came home each day so happy. One of his favorite parts was getting to fish daily—it was such a highlight for him. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that we're so grateful for.

Blue Mountain Day Camp offers lots of opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and try new activities. The staff is always friendly and do a great job. I love the emphasis on engaging with one another which does not happen often in the world of technology we live in.

The experiences. The fact that my child spends all days outdoors pending few exceptions (downpours and thunder). It's not a place to send my kid to be watched but instead a place to send my kid to experience real camp experience minus the sleepaway part. Only reason I can't rate it all the way, is the cost is a bit on the high side especially when including the busing. And if you are applying this cost across multiple children, it can become very pricey for a family. Otherwise we have loved everything so far about the camp and appreciate all that the counselors and staff do.

I loved all the outdoor activities and the lack of technology. Every night my camper came home with a story of Pally the horse or building a fort.

I really wish there were tennis lessons offered, would be willing to pay extra for them. It's unfortunate that there are courts but the kids cannot learn to play.

What a fantastic camp experience for Harlow! She was thrilled with the diverse activities and developed a wonderful bond with her counselor. It was such a positive time that she's already counting down the days until she can go back!

There are so many great outdoor activities. My child has been excited every day to go to camp. I have never seen him this excited.

Our son LOVES going to camp here. The campus is beautiful, the staff is kind and competent, and the activities are fun. This was his third year, and we look forward to him continuing his BMDC experience each year, as he grows.

This camp is wonderful. My son looks forward to the 2 weeks he goes here each summer. Can't wait until next year!

My kids love it!

My daughter has been going to this camp for 4 years now. She looks forward to going to camp every year! She meets new kids every year and has some returning friends she gets excited to see again. The camp counselors are great and have made each summer memorable for my daughter. So thankful for the opportunity my daughter has to learn and explore every day at camp.

This is the first year we have tried blue mountain day camp for our 3 boys and it is awesome. So many fun activities for them and keeps them busy and excited to try new things. Would recommend 1000% percent…we will be back next year! Thank you YMCA!

The best camp EVER!

My daughter is thriving! I really appreciate how well the staff handled the hot weather last week. I also love that they keep on top of her needing sunscreen - she's a busy kid and its not always easy to get her to pause and reapply - they are masters at it! Can't wait for a full summer of fun!

My grandson is attending and is having the time of his life. He will be 13 in July and is so so happy at your camp. He even tells me all about it, I usually get "it was great." Not this time, he talks and talks about his day!!

Staff are excellent! Son is tired!

My daughter is one week in and several more to go enjoying summer camp at Blue Mountain Day Camp. The staff is great and attentive. The daily communication from the camp director to all camp families is very well accepted. You can tell C. Koch loves what she does and in doing so helps ease parents minds that our children are safe, well cared for and having fun. I'm happy to be able to give my daughter this experience and we look forward to the remaking weeks of the summer and years to come!

Wish there was instruction in some of the activities like tennis and sailing

I'm new to camps for my kids this year. Was hopeful as I had three other camps that the kids also participated in this summer, however, I received virtually no communication as a new camper, my son refused the program after only one day, and I picked him up screaming and crying. No call from anyone and when I did call and even possibly ask for a credit or refund (which I didn't expect but wanted to share my thoughts) the person who answered was rude and no further return call was made. Communication with the counselors was impossible and I had no idea what my other child did all day. I really like the idea of your camp, have camped here myself as a teacher and as a student and I was wholly disappointed.

My kids enjoy it, I like the all day hours, and the staff seems wonderful. It's just gotten to expensive, especially for families with multiple children.

My kids had a fabulous time at Blue Mountain Day Camp for two weeks in 2023 and five weeks in 2024. They're begging me to send them there for the entire summer next year! The counselors were excellent, the outdoor activities and swimming are unmatched, and we love that the kids have an old-fashioned, adventure-filled summer with new friends.

Great outdoor old-school camp experience with excellent facilities and a wonderful staff!!

I love that my daughter gets to spend a lot of time outdoors, swim in the lake, meet new people and make new friends. She is always sad when her time at BMDC is over. The staff are excellent and very communicative about busing, what's going on at camp, and if my daughter has any needs or challenges. Looking forward to sending my daughter again next summer!

We have special needs children and the staff really works with you if the children are having a hard time! They work with the parents to come up with a strategy that will get the children to listen and have a good time!

Our granddaughter Olivia enjoyed the most swimming in the lake, volleyball, live music and dancing while waiting to be picked up by the bus, bus riding to and from the camp and the staff of the Camp. She made a lot of new friends. Olivia liked the Camp so much that she wants to return to the Blue Mountain Day Camp next Summer for two sessions instead of one.

There were plenty of outdoor activities. He loved swimming.

We love that Alex comes home tired and dirty every day, talking about learning how to build shelters in the woods and feeling more comfortable "in the deep end". Drop-off and pick up are very well-organized and we love the daily emails at end of day.

Variety of programs offered allow campers to choose different types each week. Staff knowledgeable and supportive of campers

This was my daughters first time attending camp and overall she didnt enjoy her time each day at camp. Most of it had to do with the other children there, being mean and bullys. I did not like how there was no counselors around to help in the situations. From the sound of it, a lot of the activities were just a free for all with no instructions or structure and my daughter found herself just sitting around or walking around, not really doing that daily activities.

Everyone is so nice and helpful! They have made my daughter's experience so much fun! My daughter was signed up for horseback riding when her father passed away and she missed 2 days of her riding days. The camp made sure she was able to make up those days when she returned. She was so happy that they allowed her to still ride.

Swimming every day, friendly counselors and staff, great range of activities, beautiful campus... it's the ideal summer camp! We went for a two-week session, but my kids want to do the whole summer next year!

It shouldn't take 45 minutes to find out where your kid is when they are missing from the pick up bus stop, and then the camp director is mean and nasty to the parent when the camp is the one that needs to improve their processes. They shouldn't harass parents on where they park when picking up their kid early from camp, it's not a big deal but they make it into one. They should have a better plan of activities for the kids to do when it rains the whole day. The pick up bus should wait at least three minutes for parents, especially when they know kids are missing from the bus and they See them driving towards the parking lot. The camp should not always be substituting activities instead of having the kids do the activities that they actually signed up for.

My grandson liked some on the things about camp. He loved swimming. Maybe he was too young.
