Comments are mostly below, but I had an appointment and when I walked in there was only 1 barber working and they had someone in their chair. My appt started a few minutes late and was rushed through to get to the next person waiting. While I was in the shop there were 3 additional people who walked in looking for walk-in availability and were told that it would be 45 minutes so they all walked out. The shop just needs more staff to run effectively.

Di was amazing! Most people don’t understand the vision I’m describing for my hair, but she understood immediately. 10/10 would recommend. Also, this is one of the best Floyd’s I’ve been to in my life. All of the stylists do excellent work, and I appreciate that they are open late - gives me a chance to cut my hair after work

Although I think very highly of Floyd's 99 and would happily recommend them (especially over Hair Cuttery, which has really gone downhill over the years), I seldom have people in my circle of family and friends looking for such a recommendation. The topic of a hair salon/barber doesn't come up very often. However, I'm still rating them a nine because if it does come up, I would gladly recommend Floyd's 99 as a great place to get a haircut for a reasonable price. Sadly, too many of the local hair salons in this area, especially around Shirlington Village, a little closer to where I live, are unbelievably expensive. Prices for a decent hair cut/styling shouldn't be quite that bad and Floyd's, although not cheap, is certainly far more reasonable.

I really like my current stylist, she always does a great job. Also, Floyd's trains all of their people very well - even when I cannot get a preferred stylist, I've never walked out of Floyd's with a really bad haircut. When I don't get my preferred stylist, I still leave with hair that's neat, clean and well groomed.

Annie is a fantastic barber/stylist. I'll be back to see her again.

I booked an appointment online but when I showed up I was told there was no record of it. I have come to this location many times and follow the same process every time I book an appointment, maybe I made a mistake, maybe there was a system error, who knows. What I do know is the staff did little to try and accommodate me. On top of that my haircut was bad. The individual who cut my hair spent almost no time and very little effort on my hair. It’s uneven and just poorly done. I will never return to this establishment.

Barber was friendly and welcoming but the cut wasn’t good. I had to ask him to adjust it before I left, the fade wasn’t blended well on one side. After getting home I could see it wasn’t blended well all around. He used the clippers too high and I’ve never had a barber use clippers downward (with the grain of my hair). I was worried when he started doing it and should have said something. Also left long hairs at the nape of my neck instead of tapering it down.

Love my barber, Tara. Cuts are on point, staff is friendly and efficient.

First time getting a haircut from Maggie and she was great. She listened to the nuance of what I wanted, scissors cut with clippers only on the edges… and executed it with care and precision.

Barber didn’t follow simple instructions including my showing him a photo of what I wanted. Cut was too short and poorly blended /faded into longer hair

Good haircuts, but sometimes the customer service seems a bit off. For example, this most recent visit I checked in when I arrived with my son for his 10:00 appointment. At 10:02, I received a text saying Floyd’s had missed me. I went to the desk to inquire about it, and his haircut began right then so I didn’t think much about it. However, I later received an email saying I had missed the appointment and asking me to please let them know in the future if I was going to miss. When I didn’t actually miss it, it feels a little weird to be told @the right way to handle” missed appointments. Not a huge deal, but also not the first time I’ve experienced minor quirks and oddities like this.

Your hair dresser did not follow my directions, I had a picture that I've used for the last 5 years to get the hair cut I want, and any hair dresser in the past was able to match the hair style. My hair cut looks nothing like the picture, she disregarded all my comments. I will absolutely never return to your establishment.
