Julia gave me a great gender affirming buzz cut

I made a reservation for just a buzz cut and shampoo, but the Headliner started in on a too-short beard fade (which I learned later was extra $) and then after the buzz cut rushed me out of the chair. I didn't get the shampoo I asked for but she said the hot towel she placed on my scalp took away all the hair? Lol I had hair all over my scalp, hands, and t-shirt. Pretty bad experience. I will not go again to the mosaic location.

My barber was great! Slightly expensive cut, but very happy with the level of service.

I have not been this upset about a haircut and color for as long as I can remember. About 5-6 weeks ago, I came in to Floyd’s 99 for a cut and color (gray blending) — with the same stylist — and left very pleased. But this past Sunday was a completely different story. I am MORTIFIED with how bad my hair looks right now — embarrassed to leave the house. On Sunday, I sat in the chair and specifically told the stylist that I wanted to keep growing my hair — and just wanted a little trim on the sides and the top of the sides to manage some of the bulk. I told her I did NOT want to cut the back. I also told her that for the gray blending, I did NOT want the color too dark; I only wanted it “a shade” darker than last time. But she apparently wasn’t interested in what I wanted. She cut most of the back — exactly where I told her NOT to cut — and did not touch the top of the sides where I told her TO cut. When I reached back, felt my hair, and asked why she cut it all off, she said, “It looks better this way.” Are you kidding me??? And the color? It is now very, very dark — not at all natural. It looks awful. Just awful. When I said to the stylist, “It’s really dark!” she simply said, “Sorry.” Seriously??? Is this how you reply to customers’ concerns??? *** I will be expecting a call — and an apology— from a manager in the next 24 hours with a proposal for how to resolve this situation. I will hold off on submitting any online reviews until I hear from you.

Back home in Orlando I always go to Floyds and can go to anyone working at that location and get an amazing fade/cut. While in town visiting the I gave the Fairfax location a shot because I know the brand well.

Unfortunately I received an over-priced, unblended fade and when it came to the top of my head he only ended up cutting the front half of my head, not the back and didn’t even blend the different heights of my hair. I’ve never had someone just cut the front section of my hair and not check that everything was the same cut length let alone do a skin fade and a cut in 20 minutes.

Obviously there’s no turning back at the end of a cut so it’s not like it could be fixed or resolved after. It felt like a cut from someone still in school and like I was being practiced on rather than someone charging headliner prices.

Haircuts were ok, barbers weren’t too friendly and pretty expensive for an adult and child cut.

10/10 every single time 🤍 Julia always gives me exactly what I want, even when I can’t explain it well. She’s so talented, so easy to talk to, and genuinely cares about keeping my hair healthy. I always leave feeling way better than when I walked in. Could not recommend her more.
