It's great convient all the associates are attentive an polite
Great help and quality clothes although a bit on the more expensive side. I also would've liked a wider selection of tuxedos.
Friendly, helpful service.
Excellent service! 🤙
I love there customer service.
Excellent service! The Torrance store has the best staff. Honest, reliable, and welcoming. We will always go to Friar’s in Torrance.
For some reason the only thing my son wasn’t fitted for was a shirt. Not even a neck measurement. And of course after pick up that was the one thing that didn’t fit. Aside from that inconvenience everything went well.
I expected more of a selection of suits, so while I was and an happy with the choice I selected I hoped I would have more to choose from. I am however very appreciative of the service we received and how accommodating the store was with a last minute request.
Fast ,quick efficient, friendly!
I was extremely disappointed when I received my bill. At the time when I rented two suits for a funeral, it was not explained to me that there would be a charge for same week service I ended up paying way more than I had anticipated or was told. I was told that the price I was going to pay was for both suits later to find out it was for each suit. I have used fryer tucks in the past and have recommended it to other people. I will no longer recommend fryer tux to anybody extremely disappointed.
The staff was friendly and took the time to clearly explain the difference between a suit and a tuxedo. They provided fast and helpful service, which made the experience even better.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful and the process was easy and efficient.
You did fine. Maybe a bit slow on the check-in process after the tux was returned.
Fast and easy
Service is great knowledgeable staff
More staff at key days
The Sales associate working on my child acted as if we were an inconvenience to her. We wanted to compare the pricing between renting Taxes and buying a tux and she was very frustrated with that.
Convenient
The experience was unprofessional and all the workers are lazy and useless
Everything was professional
Easy, fast, and friendly.
The entire process was not very comfortable or efficient. Communications were lacking or non existent. Pieces that were purchased were not given at time of purchase and had to be shipped at the last minute. Onsite customer service was very poor and made you feel rushed. Limited choices on styles and prices. Return policy was very lax and never received email confirmations.
Everything was great and professional great service. Keep up the good work!!
From beginning to end, it was a great experience. Madeleine assistance was impeccable and valuable and the Tux fitted very comfortably.
I will definitely recommend the store.
Thank you.
I don’t think they did a very good job with the fitting.
It was a very uncomfortable situation which was made worse by having to do it all over again because of confusing errors. I’m a bigger person so the process is already uncomfortable but receiving my pants hemmed to the knee and having to go back in to get measured again and needing a shirt two sizes bigger was a terrible experience and I would never do it again using friar tux
Pants felt a size smaller like 36 instead of 38. Jacket felt too snug at shoulder area.
I would never recommend Friar Tux to a friend for their wedding.
At the beginning, the sales associate I worked with was on his first day. I genuinely had no issue with him; he was kind, professional, and great to work with. I gave him extra grace knowing he was still learning and would likely need support from the manager. I explained that I was getting married and wanted to set up tuxedos for myself and my groomsmen. I was fitted and told I could purchase a tuxedo that was on sale for Black Friday, which sounded like a great deal.
When the associate’s shift ended, the store manager took over. I completed the tuxedo purchase and then mentioned that I also wanted to get my groomsmen set up. At that point, the manager informed me that if I had not purchased the tuxedo, I would have received it for free with six groomsmen rentals. Naturally, I said I would like to return the tuxedo so we could apply that offer instead.
That’s when things became uncomfortable. There was a clear sense of sleaziness and misdirection. I was suddenly told that all sales were final; something that had never been explained prior to purchase. Even more concerning, the manager didn’t seem to fully understand the store’s own policy and attempted to blame the confusion on the sales associate who was on his first day. That should have been my red flag.
I left the store, sat in my car, and looked up the return policy online; which clearly stated that sales were not final. I contacted corporate, who told me to return to the store and assured me the issue would be rectified. Thankfully, they refunded the tuxedo, and we were able to properly set up my groomsmen.
Unfortunately, things only got worse from there. When I received my jacket and pants, the sizing was completely off. I was told that I “must have done something wrong,” even though their staff was responsible for measuring me. After going back and forth, the fit was finally corrected. Then I realized I never received any of the accessories that were supposed to come with my tux. That was my mistake for assuming everything would simply be sent as promised.
On the day of my wedding, I discovered the shoes they provided were the wrong pair. I had to rush to the mall hours before my ceremony to buy the correct tuxedo shoes so I would match my groomsmen. No groom should have to deal with that level of stress on his wedding day.
Communication throughout the process was equally frustrating. I sent detailed emails to the store manager outlining all of my groomsmen’s information. Despite that, there were still major errors. We later discovered that my brother’s tuxedo never shipped because it was mistakenly marked for in-store pickup. After I had already paid in advance for everything; including shipping; we were told we would need to pay additional shipping fees to fix their mistake. We refused, as shipping had already been covered. On top of that, he never received the socks or suspenders that were included.
To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I should have trusted my instincts at the beginning when I felt the pressure and upselling tactics from the manager and taken my business elsewhere. Planning a wedding is stressful enough; your tuxedo company should not add to that stress. Unfortunately, that was exactly my experience.
We needed to exchange our shirt because it wasn’t properly sized. That was a great exchange, but we preferred that everything was done right the first time and it was not just us that had to return our shirts to have them exchanged. It was three people in our party we love that we could return our stuff to any Friar Tuxwas a great convenience.
Friendly and fast.
They sent a slim fit tux when I clearly explained not to send slim fit and it barely fit.
Fryer tux has my measurement information on file making it very convenient whenever I need a tux I can just call ahead and arrange to pick it up when I need it
Everything went well. Delivery was on time and the suit fit great. Return was easy. Met all expectations of the groom and the groomsmen party.
I picked up the suit and went home . When I opened the package the vest and tie were missing . Shop was closed so had to drive 60 minutes from work and pick up the missing pieces in time for event.
You are nation wide so it makes it easy if you have ones from different areas in a wedding to look the same.
I’m a bigger guy (300lbs) and they accommodated me in every way possible to get me looking great for the wedding.
As the bride the manager at the Torrance location made my son’s visit easy and quick
Thank you so much
I wish there was a little more variety, and the stock was very low when I visited, but overall the process was easy. If all you need is a basic, good-looking suit or tux, then this is the place you should go to.
Great sales staff.
The tux was to expensive .you have to lower your prices .
The customer service rep who helped me was pleasant, professional and efficient. He made the experience positive.
Thank you.
Very good service
Everything went great with the tux rentalâ¦. They fit perfect!
Boooo
The person who took my measurements did a great job But I wasn't happy with the quality of the suit I felt that it wasn't the same as what I tried on. The measurement was not the same from what the young lady wrote down When I first got fitted. I think you should just let the customer come back to the shop to try it on and pick up the suit other than shipping it. It's a great idea but it didn't go well on my end this time.
Looked great on all of us, good customer service.
The services were excellent as well as professional
Products are good quality and staff is always friendly and very helpful.
Customer Service, When you walk in your not greeted or told we will be right with you. When I went the Older Caucasian Lady, who started to help could not find the Wedding Party in the Computer until I gave her the Order# then she was able to help me. Not very Friendly at all. The only nice person was Reggie the Asst Manager. And just an FYi the store is DIRTY. Hair balls in the dressing room floor and Dog Hair. I know because I took off my shoes to try on some shoes and I had Dog hair on them and when I picked up my Suit the back of the bag even had White Dog hair and lent. On the back of the bag and I even found a couple of white doe hairs in the bottom inside the bag. That is so NASTY. Don't use the restroom that is also DIRTY.
All was good. The text was nice, it fit very well and the process was efficient. The cost was my only concern as it seemed awfully expensive for a few hour event.
