I ask to remove one of my students (CIT Camper) before the camp started and I have been charged full price. Every year I bring around 10 students. I did not follow the procedure because I did not know about it but I notified her not attending time before the start.

There should be an orientation for new parents so they can get to know the camp staff, what a day in the life looks like for campers & norm on communication.

You should def allow for those sessions to be pro rated and not two weeks as people go on summer vacations it’s a way to lock in money but at the same time you can possibly lose it when people will just decide not to send kid for an entire session when they can just go to a free one within the community as oppose to going to a weekly session . And or pro rated days .

I appreciate that there are a variety of activities available, the staff is personable and caring, and my son has a great time everyday.

The staff/counselors very friendly and helpful. The different programs for the youth are exceptional and offer many opportunities for individual and community growth.

Now that the Y has moved to New Milford drop off for day camps and overnight is very convenient. The pricing is also so much better.

I love the fact that the camp is honestly a family. I’ve gone to camp Mich as a child and now my children are going. I have friends that turned into family simply because of camp!

If would be great if there's more projects that kids can bring back home

My son joined this camp two times and he always got a lot of fun. He began to organize his stuffs and learned to do physical exercises very good.

Camp Michikamau was a great experience for our son. He didn't say one single time that he was bored. The program is well designed and made for a smooth, first sleepaway camp experience.

Teenagers taking care of kids. This is what I see with your group of workers. All teenagers on the phone, talking between them, just few of them taking the job seriously but the rest of your workers always having fun between them.

My daughter loved her time at Camp Oratam this summer! She wants to return next year, which is always a good sign. I recommend this camp to friends and community members for its affordability, diversity, and time outdoors.

Our child had a wonderful experience this summer at Michigan's. He loves being in the woods hiking and camping. This gave him 2 weeks to enjoy nature, expand his horizons with new activities and meet a wonderful group of kids. The counselors and staff were great with the kids. Highly recommended.

My daughter had an enriching experience and enjoyed making friends and having all of those new experiences like the sing alongs and the activities. The counselors were terrific.

Our daughter has had a great time for 3 years. Great counselors and people, lots of different activities, and very age appropriate. We've gone from 1 week to 2 weeks to 4 weeks each year, and next year she wants to go the whole summer. We're so happy we found Camp Michikamau.

Kids have loved it for about 4 summers! We have recommended to many friends and family. Last year, two families enrolled after our recommendation and this year one enrolled for 1 session coming up.

My 11yo son had a fabulous time last year and this year! He loves the counselors and made new friends each time. (He also said the food is good!) He is really looking forward to the activities for next year already and he just got home three days ago! Our family really appreciates the quality of such an affordable overnight camp with great facilities and wholesome, stimulating fun!
