The YMCA is a great resource for our working family. We appreciate that they offer programming when others do not.

Needs an app like “Remind” to communicate both ways between parents and counselors especially for any urgent matters or to inform of bus delays. Also needs a better pick up system, no one ever verified those picking up my child which is a major safety concern.

I had enrolled my daughter into the beginner basketball class and then when I showed up for the class that evening, was told that it was canceled due to nobody else signing up. I didn't receive any emails, I didn't receive anything other than a confirmation of the payment submitted. In fact, when I showed up for this particular class, it was listed on their July calendar! I was told by the front desk to proceed to the gym, but thought that something was wrong when the volleyball class that was going on, was still going strong right through the start time of when the beginner basketball class should have started. I went back out to the front desk, only to then have them investigate further and find out that there was no class due to lack of enrollment. I wish that the option to enroll into the class wasn't even still listed on the website if that was the case, or I had received an email or phone call, at least? I was disappointed in this level or lack of communication. They were able to offer her the chance to try the "intermediate" class at a later time, which has worked out well but I do think that she would have benefited from the beginner class as well. She has remained in the intermediate class and enjoyed it at this time, but it was very poor communication initially.

I ask to remove one of my students (CIT Camper) before the camp started and I have been charged full price. Every year I bring around 10 students. I did not follow the procedure because I did not know about it but I notified her not attending time before the start.

There should be an orientation for new parents so they can get to know the camp staff, what a day in the life looks like for campers & norm on communication.

You should def allow for those sessions to be pro rated and not two weeks as people go on summer vacations it’s a way to lock in money but at the same time you can possibly lose it when people will just decide not to send kid for an entire session when they can just go to a free one within the community as oppose to going to a weekly session . And or pro rated days .

I appreciate that there are a variety of activities available, the staff is personable and caring, and my son has a great time everyday.

The staff/counselors very friendly and helpful. The different programs for the youth are exceptional and offer many opportunities for individual and community growth.

Now that the Y has moved to New Milford drop off for day camps and overnight is very convenient. The pricing is also so much better.

I love the fact that the camp is honestly a family. I’ve gone to camp Mich as a child and now my children are going. I have friends that turned into family simply because of camp!

I was told a lie upon registering and getting in touch with people here is hard. The communication is horrible.

The YMCA helps young people see greater possibilities in themselves.The YMCA helps young folks envision the person they oftentimes aspire to become and then helps them create that reality. People like coach Pablo helps copilot a path of action that helps young folks define a clearer direction towards their purpose leading to action steps to facilitate it.

Availability and variety of classes is great for every member of the family

My son loves it, he always tells me not to pick him up early, because first they give him his snack, then they help him with his homework and then they make him do sports or art or other activities with the other children, the teachers are very prepared and attentive 💯 I recommend it

Coach Pedro is an amazing coach. He teaches fundamentals and keeps the game simple. Jason and Ben have done a great job running the travel program.

Good but it's a little expensive for the 3 hours in the afternoon

My child is surrounded by rowdy children so they all need alot of attention which they were not getting. The activities are dull and the time my son was there was not utilized. They make the kids get ready coats and back packs on at 530 when pick up is at 6 thats 30 minutes sitting on a bench waiting to get picked up I dont see the point of that. Lastly the cancelation policy is ridiculous I made how I felt known when I called to canceled and explained why and you still charge me 30 days for a service im not using thats just bad business. I am not going to support the ymca and when asked about enrollment I will say spend your hard earned money else were there basically baby sitters.

I appreciate the YMCA and their hardworking team,it helps me and my family with our daughter in the morning. She loves the after school program, can't pick her up from after school early else she cries. She loves the activities and like to have fun with kids all ages.

Pablo is such a great coach and role model for the youth!

They have a good basketball program. My kids have learned a lot about basketball. They have a really good coach who cares about teaching the sport and makes sure they learn.

Pablo and jasmine are really good coaches. They push mush daughter and son out of their comfort zone. My children love their classes

Great introduction to Volleyball for my daughter. Coaches and staff very helpful. Practices were flexible and convenient for us as working families.

Staff at New Milford are very accommodating and professional. The volleyball coaches specially Miss Winnie gives her 101% to teach our kids to do their best and bring out the best in them. Watching the kids enjoy playing developing teamwork and skills is a very proud moment for us parents.

It's still the same from when I was a kid! What a joy to give the same experience to my child. Some things never change and that's great!
