My kids seemed to have a good time, but they only went swimming 1 time. It's tough to make it to this camp because we live in Cazenovia, so we were trying it out. If I lived closer we would be back, its really the drive that made it tough- that coupled with th3 fact that my kids didnt play outside a lot or swim more than 1 time.

Thank you for a wonderful camp and for all the care you provide to the children! My child really enjoyed the activities, programs, and time spent with the counselors. One thing I would like to suggest for improvement is paying a bit more attention to cleanliness in the facilities and around the camp area. I think this would make the experience even more comfortable and enjoyable for the kids.

My kids absolutely loved it. They also loved their counselors. I'd like to especially note how great Jane was with my daughters. She made them feel very comfortable! We did the before care and that was also very helpful and well run. Looking forward to enrolling in more weeks next summer!

Where to improve: Refund policies for Camp Evergreen were not clear before registration opened.

We love the staff and experience at this camp. Both of our daughters have attended and always have a wonderful time. The camp is very nurturing and helpful to development and activities.

I signed my daughter up for camp Nessee when it was time for camp the staff had her attend another camp .. camp fess r very expensive nd I paid up for the whole summer and she only got to attend 3 wks and the Camp billed for the whole summer Ymca is not for underprivileged like it use to be nd their non profit nd the rates are ridiculously high .. no one responded to my text or emails in a timely manner very dis satisfied this year my daughter has been a member since she was 2 yrs old she's now 7 years old .. praying for the summer camp leaders to be as titled LEADERS very disappointing summer for me nd my daughter

we like the hours and the number of weeks the camp offers. It allows us to work full-time and have childcare coverage. It's affordable and my daughter found it fun and engaging--we also really loved that the kids get to go swimming!

My son had a great experience. His first year at this location and he's asked to return next year. My exchanges with counselors have been friendly and reassuring. Allison is quick to respond,

Lots of programs for everybody.

I think the SACC counselors could do a better job at helping the kids make friends. My daughter along with others have social anxiety and can do well at camp if they had more friends in their group.

My son is well taken care of and has a blast. He absolutely loves the staff.

I don't use the gym and you're very gym focused. It is difficult to get my children into programs we want because signing up is so competitive. Otherwise y'all are great.

My son had such a great time. Loved all the different themes each week. Made some awesome friends and has his favorite camp counselors. We have never done a camp experience before and our expectations were blown out of the water.

My son loves going here during the summer! The counselors always greet him with excitement in the morning and make sure he is treated with fairness and kindness! We'll definitely be having him going next summer too! They keep the kids very busy with lots of fun activities and he always has positive stories to tell us when he comes home at the end of the day!

My daughter loves Art Camp! This is her 2nd year going and she always asks for more. The camp is well organized with caring and attentive staff. She always makes friends there and has fun learning and exploring her creativity.

Evergreen has a great variety of fun summer activities. The property is amazing and the Y does the best job of training counselors. They also take care to have the lyme alliance come and advise of tick safety. The inclusion program is incredible. My son has the best time!!!

Swimming available every day. This is the Summer most kids would enjoy swimming every day. I understand the shortage of life guards but hopefully next year that could be an option for those kids that want to swim every day.

Can you keep the pool open more regularly? I use the YMCA for swimming with my kids and want more time with them in the pool (particularly on weekends).

More advanced communication for special day dress up needs. I'm also unsure how parents not on Facebook get this information. My kids missed having the on-site camp store (although I liked the extended shirt purchasing options). It would be nice to have things back in stock as well like stuffed animals that they can purchase while at camp. I wasn't even sure which days were camp store days for ice cream. Friend requests on the registration form. Program staff safety practices. At family night I watched a few children almost get kicked by a horse that kept aggressively bucking out his back legs and when I approached the staff member, who was sitting near the front gate and hadn't witnessed any of it, her response was they are just trying to get the flies off. She didn't move or even check on the horse or kids near it (some without parents) so we left. There was no instructions as we entered to not stand behind the horses, etc. Just a handful of peppermints that even I was afraid to let some of them take from my palm. The boating staff/ lifeguards were more interested in socializing with each other than assisting kids and families with finding life jackets, paddles, and launching their boats. If an 1.5 long event is going to start 15 min late, it should be extended by that 15 minutes. After witnessing all of this, I'm concerned about what happens when parents aren't around watching their children at camp but as a positive, the counselors were amazing that night! Very welcoming and engaging with all the kids.

The themes are very loose, kids are excited for the themes but then there are not always many activities associated with them. Wish there was more pool time.

The theme week (Ninjas) for the camp was supposed to culminate in a Ninjas obstacle course. That did not happen and was the main reason I signed my kids up for that particular week.

Every day we have picked up our son, the camp grounds are a mess. Frankly, there are lost items strewn all around with there seemingly to be no supervision over any of the kids. Our son has lost something each day he has gone to camp and we have been unsuccessful at finding his missing items given how messy the camp is.

Many issues. I do understand that you are short staffed. But god forbid if I put membership on hold. As a family we have part of the Y on and off for the last 15 years. The way pool is scheduled is ridiculous. The swimming lessons were a good service to the public, not anymore

We have loved Camp Evergreen and things are very well run. Not only am I likely to recommend Camp Evergreen, I have for many years!

Camp was well organized. Staff were engaged. My child can't stop talking about her counselors!

My kids loved the art camp! They want to do it again next summer.

Some of information sent through the email stated that we were in Session 2 and it turned out it was Session 3. I think the theme days were still correct, but often times my son would come home and say that he missed out on things (green day, tie dye activity). He is only 5 years old and I fell like the camp could be improved if written information was sent home with campers as updates/reminders. I know there is a lot happening in the day, but I was also unsure of what he did everyday. For the first week, he was scheduled to go to the camp store so I sent him with money and he said they never went. My goal was to help him prepare to have the best day at camp, but I routinely felt like I had the wrong information. Overall, drop off and pick up went well and he had fun by the end.

I like the fact that my son enjoyed his experience at the camp .He loves going.He had dental work done and I had to keep him home a couple days .He did not like that .He complained each day that he wanted to go to camp .What ever your doing keep up the good work.

I love how excited my kids and their friends are to tell me all about the crazy fun they had during their day at camp. From crafting, to water sports, to silliness with the counselors and other kids, they're also getting to make their own decisions about how they'd like to spend their day. Big thank you to the Camp Evergreen for making 2022 a summer to remember!
