I love the center is always so welcoming
The community atmosphere at Najim is excellent. I’m new to the area and they welcomed me with open arms!
The workout area is small and this location has limited class availability, however the Peloton bikes are a huge plus and I never have a problem getting in the workout I need with the available equipment.
The large windows are awesome but the upstairs equipment room is a little too warm. Could be improved with a floor fan by the cardio area maybe?
Location updated its court facilities and play equipment for small children. Always a nice place to go to.
Love my classes with Cheryl and Jojetta. Both are extremely motivating instructors!
I love the instructor lead classes. I just wish the facilities were open in Sunday.
Front desk staff is incredibly helpful and kind. The child watch workers are friendly and kind. My children like going to child watch.
I have been going there for awhile now. We love this place!
Very nice gym. People are welcoming. Roger is an awesome instructor
Seems like a good, welcoming, community YMCA. Staff has been great.
Well for starters there was no coaches the group had to be broken into two or play back to back. We were told to buy a jersey which was non refundable. Then the first meeting the coach said we didnt need to and he would reimburse us. I sent two emails never got a response. Two games were canceled it was a mess. We thought after a year it would be better. Nope still very unorganized and we lost out on money. Never again.
It's cl
I love how welcoming the staff is and how clean the building and equipment is
Soccer on the concrete was hard because my toddler kept scraping his knee. Other than that it was amazing!
I don’t like how it wasn’t on a real soccer field, and we didn’t receive jerseys for the kids. Also once a week practice was pointless. Make it at least twice a week
Great experience for Hector, his first interaction with team sports
I think the hours could be reassessed. In my opinion the facility is not open enough.
It’s a work place
Bianca Perez make it all worth it.
Love the Najim Family YMCA. Would appreciate a pool at the location and/or more after work hours availability for adult athletic clubs (ex. Pilates, nutrition/cooking classes etc).
The place needs updating. The equipment looks worn out. I never know when the child watch is open. There are not enough activities to sign up for.
Jojetta Cain is the best!
In my opinion, this is the second-best YMCA out of all the YMCAs in the San Antonio area - the first for me is D. R. Semmes YMCA at Tripoint. Najim YMCA has a great locker room - the locker are very close to the seating benches which, for me, is a big plus as I have spinal arthritis and have a problem 'reaching" - so the closeness of the benches to the lockers is very helpful. Walk-in showers are really nice, with handrail on the one I use to help me keep my balance.
I would highly recommend this location because the staff is friendly and also because the space upstairs to work out feels fresh and bright. Sometimes machines need to be dusted but for the most part everything looks clean. It’d be nice to have more classes or activities for children (art, dance, cooking, martial arts, etc) we usually drive 30 minutes to other locations just to have these classes. I’m glad that the space outside has a playground and my children love it.
