Previously I would have given PBF a 10/10 and recommended to anyone. However, since the transition has happened communication has been dodgy and defensive. PBF has been my home away from home and happy place for over 12 years. The disruption in routine has been very upsetting and with no clear timeline for when we will be back to a full schedule of in studio classes in a true pure barre studio. I feel like a once thriving community is quickly falling apart and it is disheartening. Recent resignation of management/leadership is also concerning. I do appreciate the livestream classes and I am able to take class at Roots some on the weekends and while it is not the same as being in a true PB studio it is a nice facility and good to see some of our community and be with the remaining (amazing) teachers. WIth no clear timeline for the future (and with things seemingly moving at an incredibly slow place) it is hard to recommend PBF to new clients at this time.
No studio or progress towards one
Great, full body workout that is challenging regardless of how long you have been doing it. Also, the variety of ages means it works for everyone.
Great class schedule and variety, great coaches, welcoming community!
More 30 minute classes
Everything, the instructors are fantastic, the studio is clean and the environment is very friendly!
I LOVE ALL THE CLASSES. CAN SEE A BIG DIFFERENCE IN THE WAY CLOTHES FIT, NOT AS TIGHT
It is such a positive environment :)
The classes are great and I see results! I love how each instructor gives individual praise during exercises and encourages us during the spicy sections. I absolutely LOVE Maggie G and Chelsy L. Definitely my top favorite instructors. However I do wish prices were a little lower but I understand they have to be what they are. The only thing I have for improvement is the front desk (barretenders) I feel as though at times I am not greeted and are hiding behind the computer. Not all but some have done that I have noticed. Otherwise love this studio and love the people!!
Everyone is so friendly and supportive! Instructors always push me and challenge me, while also supporting my wins (and even knowing my wins before I do!)!
I love the community, classes and instructors. I am not likely to recommend Pure Barre to new members during the transition period. The transition needs to be accelerated so that classes are no longer in temporary locations and hopefully the community can return to its previous level. If it takes too long I am worried that it will not return and I too will have to make a decision to continue.
I live 20-25 minutes away and it doesn't work for me to attend a 30 minutes class. The classes have become less frequent and the variety has diminished. Classes that I can take sometimes get cancelled. I am more likely to come take classes in the mornings as my husband does not do well on his own in the afternoon/evenings unless I get help for him. I am concerned that members will leave and go to the other pilates studios opening in the area with more opportunities for classes. As one of the older ladies, we would love to hear music from our generation and/or events for us to connect more with each other. Also would love to have a 50 minute align class and then a 30 minute focus class afterwards. That would be an awesome work out for us. Thank you.
Availability and variety of classes throughout the schedule, meeting new people, and the friendliness of the instructors/staff.
More class times offered (consistent 8:30 and 12:00 classes). All formats available during the week between 8:30-noon. Define and Reform are not scheduled during this time block.
I've been going regularly since 2017, and I love that it's always challenging, that's what keeps me coming back. I was so thankful when the Define format came along because, in my almost 10 years of doing Pure Barre, it has been by far the most challenging and has delivered the best results I've experienced.
I love the teachers, they're always very motivating and inspiring!
Consistency, results, community.
The instructors are excellent and very hands on.
Right now it is hard to try and get someone to come because of the not knowing where the studio is going to be.
Fun classes, great instructors, lots of time options, convenient location. 10/10!
Before moving to Clarksville five years ago, I belonged to a Pure Barre studio and was thrilled when it finally arrived here in Clarksville! I've been doing Pure Barre in Clarksville since the studio opened and still find the workouts effective and challenging. I've lost 50 pounds and feel great. Pure Barre workouts have been a huge part of my success. I've belonged to various gyms and studios over the years and have experienced the best results with Pure Barre. Consistency is key to success and I find it enjoyably easy to be consistent with Pure Barre!
I've been going to Pure Barre for over 5 years and don't plan on stopping anytime soon! The studio and staff are amazing, and Brittney is an absolute rockstar. The classes have kept me strong and in shape through so many stages of life including throughout my pregnancy and now postpartum. I always leave feeling better than when I walked in. Pure Barre truly keeps me sane! :)
I was worried about adjusting to a new workout plan that required me to sign up for specific scheduled classes and use an app regularly. But committing to a class and signing up has helped me establish a more consistent routine which helps me workout more often and more regularly. I'm pretty competitive. So I really enjoy the challenges that occur and the counts each month.
I enjoy the teachers and the other members.
I like the ~diversity of the classes, in particular Define and Classic. ~class schedules since there is a 6:00 am class Monday - Friday and the availability to take a class just about anytime ~instructors are well trained and always helpful
I love that the instructors are always so nice and good at correcting my form!! I wish the lights were more dim and the playlists had more hip hop and less mainstream mashups, I'm not sure if the instructors can create ther own playlist but it would be fun if they did!
More classes earlier or latter during work days
The instructors are great, I feel great following classes, it feels like a community
The intensity of the classes and the ability for alternatives and on the spot corrections
I love the teachers and the flexibility in terms of days to take classes.
The instructors are so wonderful - they motivate us with their positive energy and endurance. I've met the nicest women at the studio too!
I like that the workouts move smoothly. I feel challenged but I usually don't die during them. :) I really appreciate that the instructors will offer accommodations for certain movements/positioning/exercises. I also find the instructors to be very willing to answer questions after class about different movements and offer suggestion for modifying those that are particularly difficult for me. I don't feel judged by anyone in these classes and that has kept me coming back.
The community of working Women that are dedicated to their health and wellbeing.
The people are great, the studio is very clean and the workouts are awesome!
The staff most importantly.. but also the class variations & times they're offered.
I'm disappointed in the schedule changes recently made. The 6am classes are not great for my work schedule and they are often pretty crowded. I wish there were 5:30am and 6:30am class offerings on weekdays. I also feel like the playlists have not been great. Corporate probably needs to update with some newer/more fun music.
The best full body workout around!
The different challenging exercises you encounter with every class.
Community, class structure, variety of classes
I cannot say enough good things about Pure Barre! If you are worried about getting bored with a workout routine, this is the place for you. One of my favorite things about it is that the choreography changes every few weeks. Boredom truly does not exist here. No matter how long you've been taking classes, you are guaranteed to be continuously challenged and find new ways to push yourself. The environment is incredibly welcoming, and the workouts are designed so that anyone in any type of fitness shape can jump right in. Bottom line: You will feel empowered and able to conquer even your very first class, yet you'll never outgrow the workout.
I don't like the pricing structure. It's weird to stand next to someone you literally joined within days of each other and you pay $50 more. At this point membership is up to $190. How on earth do you think this is worth $180. These business models use women's insecurities and exclusionary tactics in order to build value that is not inherently there. Since I've been a member the teachers are less skilled and experienced than in the beginning. All you offer now is classic classic classic. Less value. I can get results at a regular gym without the high school like cliques and social media exclusion practices. Honestly this place reminds me of a high school in the 80's.
More product, especially socks. The cancellation policy of the studio, we get charged for cancelling but if the studio cancels on us, there's no thought to those committed to coming. There should be an added benefit for unlimited members to get a certain (minimum number) of cancellations a month. There have been times there's no one at the studio until 4:15-4:20 for a 4:30 class. Several people use the time to change because of coming straight from work and it can feel rushed. Imagine a new client feeling that way or a potential new client showing up a bit early to find the door locked.
The best instructors have left. There are fewer classes in the schedule. Prices keep rising. If these are rectified, that would make things right.
I looovvveee Pure Barre! I originally started it because I have a weak pelvic floor and it has helped so much. But other than that I found strength I didn't know I had, confidence in my body, and a community that's empowering. All of the instructors are amazing!!
The low impact workouts are so much easier on the body than those high impact, joint crushing workouts at other gyms. The friendly atmosphere is appealing to everyone who enters
Great community, exercise is precise, instructors are encouraging.
The guided workouts, different formats, and the family vibe when I enter.
The atmosphere and the coaches
Love the workout and the staff is so friendly and helpful
The inclusive environment of the gym. Everyone is welcome and encouraged regardless of their experience.
