Consistent (but not repetitive) low-impact workout. Friendly supportive atmosphere
The community is provides. The ever changing classes to keep it challenging! The teachers can be so fun!
Great workouts, great people, great trainers.
Love this place so much! The classes, the staff, the people who attend the classes, it is so much fun and a great work out!
Efficient workouts with a solid community
I tend to avoid classes with Addie as she does not appear prepared/confident.
I love the teachers and the different classes they put together. They offer assistance if needed. But never makes you feel uncomfortable. U
I love pure barre! I love the community and how inclusive this gym is!!
Exercises and instructors
I LOVE pure barre because it gives a good balance between lifting weights and yoga-type movements. The instructors are absolutely amazing and help you with your movements if you're confused, but they also challenge you to work harder during class which I love. Great overall experience and I'll keep going and going
The disappointment happened at the beginning of 2026, when I got a pair of socks (and technically a cookie I couldn't consume) for the previous year's Platinum Barre Challenge completion. The opportunity to switch over to the Black Barre Challenge had already lapsed. The driving time commitment is no longer worth it, my good friend who also took classes at your Zona Rosa location moved out of state and the low impact workouts weren't giving me the results I wanted. I had health setbacks from March through the end of May that made it difficult to attend any fitness classes. I understand that my fitness journey is my own. To make things right, I request that you release me from the remainder of my 12-month agreement.
The classes, the instructors, the friends, the whole vibe!
I love that it feels like a village w the same goals: to move our bodies, however they look, whatever decade of life. The classes are different every time. The instructors are great!
The instructors and the constant challenge! This workout consistently improves my body, even as a person who has always been in tune with my strength and flexibility.
More classes. They are a little too full or you need a larger space. More class times. I would join an 8 am weekday class. Or even a later class at night. Like 8 pm. You need a larger space or to offer more classes. With everything being waitlisted all the time it's hard to plan ahead.
PB works for all ages, sizes, shapes & is so challenging. Every single class pushes the body in a good way. The structure of how everything works is simple and hold clients responsible. Lawrence PB has the best instructors & I appreciate them so very much! I highly recommend it to anyone & also challenge them to try it!
Everyone has been so nice & helpful
Supportive instructors and challenging classes.
The class and the people in
The instructors, the class time availability, the class variety, my pure barre friendsâ¦and the way it makes me feel
Pure Barre is not only an amazing workout every session, the instructors are kind and welcoming! The confidence and strength I gain during class is what keeps me coming back - for over 2 years now. Pure Barre is truly the only workout I've ever done that I've truly enjoyed and looked forward to.
Pure Barre pushes me to challenge myself, and paying in advance keeps me motivated to show up. Plus, I really enjoy the instructors!
The instructors are all fabulous, they really are hands on ,
I absolutely love my Pure Barre studio. The combination of strength, focus and community motivates me. It is the place I go to be challenged, gain confidence, strength and to become physically and mentally motivated on the daily! I can consistently see and feel the results. The instructors are top notch; they are absolutely incredible. They are super knowledgeable and they truly make each class a great experience.
Clean studio, variety of classes, every instructor is great.
My Pure Barre is a safe and comfortable place to come sweat and burn off frustrations, as well as a place to get STRONG! The space is calming, welcoming, encouraging! The instructors are helpful, and always changing up the routine!
I love PB. I truly love it. The moves, the instructors, the science, the consistency (of everything and everyone). The fact that life changes but PB remains. Period. And this helps us go on despite everything that is telling us to stop. Unfortunately the price is prohibitive for many people and certainly many of my friends. I work extra to take barre. It is too expensive for my budget but⦠somehow I'm still here. The only thing that would make me stop PB is my heath which is very fragile at the moment. Only God knows.
Consistency, reliability, clear expectations, challenging, positive environment and amazing, uplifting instructors.
I like that the instructors take a moment to acknowledge me, by name, when I enter and when I leave. I like the sense of community I feel when I am in the studio. I enjoy the guided workouts because I can come in and get a full body workout and don't have to think about reps or what to do next because it's all planned for me. I feel strong both physically and mentally after taking a class.
More class options on the weekends and Thursdays/Fridays.
The space is very small and often very hot, which makes it uncomfortable.
Awesome instructor! Clear and Concise. Help with form. Always caring!
Every class is a challenge!
I love the instructors and the community I've found at each studio I've been a member at. I also love the workouts themselves. After a professional dance career and issues from pregnancy and birth leaving my joints and core weak, I really needed a low impact way to stay active and what I've found with pure barre is everything I needed and more. I've healed and become stronger in ways I didn't anticipate and I'm so happy I've found something I know I'll be able to continue doing as I get older.
The instructors are very welcoming and encouraging. They don't hesitate to offer modifications.
I'm not a "fitness girly," I've always struggled to find exercise that met me where my mind and body actually were. Pure Barre is the first place I've found that meets me AND challenges me. Instead of being required to ignore my body and "just do it," I'm invited to think about where I'm at and notice where I could get stronger. That's HUGE for those of us who lived through a time when fitness was about making our bodies and ourselves as small as possible (in all the ways). I've dealt with my fair share of excersize related injury over the years. This is a place where I feel safe pushing myself because I know the instructors are always scanning to make sure our form is getting us the most out of the movement without risking injury. Even tiny adjustments in posture have led to massive breakthroughs for me in day-to-day life with kids. It's also a huge comfort to me that this is not an activity I'm going to have to transition out of as I age. Women twice my age are absolutely crushing it in every class and that's so encouraging to me! Also, some fitness communities really require a lot of "buy in" to get the most out of the experience. I'm lucky enough to have a supportive community outside of Pure Barre, so I haven't taken them up on the offer of community at the studio because I just don't have the bandwidth. I've never felt left out or snubbed because of that, and even better, the door is truly always open to build connection. That's a really tricky tight rope to walk and I'm so, so grateful for a place to work out that doesn't ask me to build my whole life around it, or ignore me completely like at a giant gym. I've recommended Pure Barre Lenexa to several friends at who would co-sign everything I've said here. I hope every one finds a place they feel this supported and encouraged in their health journey!
Variety of classes and times offered
Great workouts, great teachers, great music
I love the community, the encouragement from the instructors makes all the difference!
FirstâI love the workouts! There are several different formats and I love them all. Secondâthe instructors know you by name and encourage you to give it your all. Lastlyâthe community is amazing! I have been doing Pure Barre for 10 plus years and still love it as much as I did when I started. Pure Barre City is top notch!
Constantly challenges me and helps me stick to a routine! I love that choreo is always changing!
Pure Barre is a community where I always feel welcome, encouraged, and supported. I love that I can not only get a high quality workout, but that I can connect with a strong community.
Everything! The instructors are so knowledgeable. I've made friends. And I feel the burn!
I love Pure Barre and I love all the trainers at City Center! Everyone is so kind and encouraging and I feel energized with just the right amount of soreness from a good workout every time!
The structure of the classes and the instruction of the trainers encourages our mind body connection moreso than any other workout I have ever done. Making sure the muscles meant to do the work are doing it and doing it properly is what improves our fitness level and keeps us from getting injured. We are given alternative moves if something is too difficult, and we are encouraged to slow down our repititions if our form starts to suffer. As someone who lifts weights regularly, the Pure Barre workout is no joke. These workouts will challenge your posture, shape your legs and booty, and improve your mobility.
The instructors are so nice and make an effort to know people's names, which I don't know why, but I LOVE. Feels much more personal and like the instructors really care about your fitness goals. The instructors do a good job of helping and correcting when needed, and pushing your limits to gain more strength and make sure you are getting the full benefits of the moves and excercises. I feel like my strength and overall fitness have improved a lot since starting. Sad I have to leave Lawrence in May because I love this location and the instructors!
The community, everyone is so welcoming to the newcomers and are actually interested in the things that we do outside of the barre
I love how welcoming and supportive the instructors and other members are and it's the only workout routine I've ever been able to stay consistent with!
I love the instructors. Whatever level you are, they make the classes doable. It's challenging, I won't lie, but they are constantly encouraging and help with my technique. As I'm aging I find that the classes are a nice balance of strength and cardio conditioning. You can use my first name but please not whole name.
I still really enjoy the workout, but as a longtime barre member that has been taking since 2011, I have noticed that Classic classes have gone downhill in quality/variety compared to a few years ago due to how many formats barre offers now. Instructors can't truly master Classic because they have to learn and teach so many other formats, and teach different formats back to back. As a result, classic choreo gets repeated now more than ever before, and as a longtime client I REALLY miss the quality that Classic used to have, especially with hands on corrections. There used to be SO much more hands on, and I think again that because instructors don't have long enough to really master classic they aren't getting to the point of mastering hands on before having to teach other formats, so that part of barre that I used to love has suffered as well. However, I don't fault the instructors at all for this, it is SO much work to memorize that much choreo trying to teach multiple formats and 2 formats back to back. It's more of a problem created by corporate due to the number of class offerings and as a result the service has decreased in quality. Barre had such a great thing going with Classic and it seems like that is no longer their focus. Classic is mainly what I take because it's my favorite, and its the most effective in my opinion. Pure Barre started out offering only classic, so I'm sure I notice this more than the average client (and since I used to teach as well). I do wish Classic would level up some as well, like add weights to abs, add weights to thigh/seat work, etc. I don't want to say that it has gotten stale, but I have taken at other bar studios where they are incorporating more weight into classic type offerings and it truly does level up the class and help challenge the more advanced/stronger clients. I also understand that this is not something a local studio controls, it's a corporate thing. I do wish classic was offered more and that class schedules were more consistent. Each class time is a different class every week, which makes it so hard to plan your week. I know at other studios every Monday at 9 is this certain format and it doesn't change so you can plan on taking it every week and the consistency is just nice. I find myself struggling to take/map out my schedule with all the schedule changes from week to week and at times that is frustrating. However, the workout is still great and the instructors are all amazing, and I love city center!
