Maybe workshop training for some of the teachers who's classes are a bit less challenging or partner them with a veteran teacher, as a mentor to work with them on exercise setups and class pace. Some if the equipment is getting dated. The mats frequently smell bad and the reform tubs (while they are now matched) they are a good bit stretched out. Maybe the addressing tardiness - importance of getting into the actual class before it starts. One specific client (Margaret) habitually coming into the studio late everyday, then dilly-dallies before entering class,.. it is a distraction to the clients and teacher (everyday). Class is usually well into warm up on the floor when she is trying to carry an arm full of weights over other clients, so beyond distracting it is a safety issue. I personally experienced the weight walkover three times in last few weeks. It has been an ongoing discussion/complaint with a lot of members.
I enjoy the class formats and the teachers
I would love more afternoon classes!
I like PB because of the variety of classes they offer. You get to work your whole body in all of the classes that they offer. I am a runner and a tennis player and since I have taken PB, I find that my thighs have gotten stronger when I need to squat down for a tennis ball. My upper arms have gotten stronger in the define class with working with weights. PB offers morning, noon, and evening classes so you get a chance to work out when you have the time. If you haven't tried PB, come out and check it out!!
Instructors very engaged-friendly & attentive to assist with corrections as clients execute exercises. Consistency with expectations for clean studio & classes commencing on time.
The staff. The energy!
Love the staff! Super drains helpful. They make sure you get the best of your workout!
Brittany ventress
I love my local Pure Barre, but there are easy ways to improve, and difficult ways to improve. It's easy to change up the music a bit. We seem to hear the same playlists rather frequently and it would be nice to have an occasional "retro" playlist, which I know are out there from attending other studios. Keeping and using exciting and fun teachers is really important, and I think our studio is trying really hard to do this. I appreciate all that our teachers and owner are doing to help make our PB studio the best.
Class variety, times offered, instructors are great and a real sense of community.
It's a consistently great workout and I love the instructors!
The community and instructors are so encouraging and welcoming in addition to it being a great workout and having many different formats. It's so much more than a simple "barre class".
The instructors are so kind and helpful. They make adjustments when needed and help make sure you are working all the right muscles and push you to finish strong!
My studio on Magazine Street is wonderful! The teachers really care about my progress and make each class interesting. I like that class is never the same twice and that the playlists keep it interesting.
I love the instructors and I love the community that has formed there.
Pure Barre is a workout with great instructors, and a class for everyone! I look forward to my options in classes at a variety of times each week, as well as visiting with my instructions and classmates. 10/10 every time!
Focused full body workout
It's a great total body workout! It has reshaped my body for the better. It has made me stronger for my everyday tasks, like lifting groceries, squatting for things in the cabinet, or leaning over sideways from bed to pick something up that fell in the floor. I really notice the difference in my life!
The energy and community that is present when walking through the doors
Enjoy the classes and environment. Cindy F is my favorite but also enjoy Britt!
It's hard to work out while working full time with littles at home. I'd love to see shorter classes during the week or after work. Also for those of us who can only go at lunch, it would be nice for a little more variety at the 11am class. I love how Brooke alternates that Monday class between Reform and Definre. Not sure if that would be possible for other teachers.
Routines are for all ages and levels. Instructors are extremely helpful to ensure proper form and encouraging.
Pure Barre is low impact and doesn't use a lot of equipment. It's not intimidating as a person who hasn't gone to the gym or played organized sports and is trying to get into working out. I feel stronger and more confident. Pure Barre New Orleans is really communicative and helpful, and was flexible with my classes when I was injured, and host fun events and ways to get involved. The teachers and front desk employees remember who I am.
I love a class when the movement and music work well together. I like a low impact full body workout that makes me push myself each class
