The class is erratic. One class ended early, and we were told that the class time had changed from starting at 5:45 to 5:30, without any communication. The following week we showed up at 5:25, ready for class, and it didn't start until 6:45, then ended at 6:20. The coach seems to have fun with the kids, but the class doesn't have any structure to it.
The room was not very toddler friendly.
My kids have had such a good time with Ms Diane. She is so patient and kind and it rubs off on everyone.
Timing, quality, type of activites, instructors
Playful activities and fun for kids
I didn't feel like she learned new art ideas or techniques. It was a fun little project time and im glad it was free, but i wish the teacher had educated them on artistic styles, or famous art or something. Like when they did pastels, instead of coloring pizza slices, they could have been shown a picture of a Degas or Renoir then encouraged to copy it or create something similar. The mosaic day was cool, but they could have been introduced to Gaudi. Basically anything that would have made this a learning experience
The size of the classes, instructors are great and the workspace.
We have enjoyed the yoga/dance class with Ms. Diane very much. It's an excellent class. She is lovely by the way. This class showed us the need at the YMCA Melrose for more yoga classes and stretching and calming classes for all ages -youth, teens, adults, & elderly. It's necessary and beneficial to start young and to teach youth and teens in the community how to breathe properly and center oneself and be calm and stretch the body. For adults and the elderly what a support it would be to have these types of yoga classes and light stretching available so close to home. I would love to be able to keep my child in these types of classes all year long for herself and myself, especially as she grows as to make it part of her routine and lifestyle.
My son loves Comic Book Club!
Great programs for kids and my daughter enjoys!
I love it
The pool, the gym, the camp and some of the kids sessions. Love the triathalon club!!
My daughter loves the Healthy Kids Cooking class. She was always so excited to go and be hands on assisting with the food. Hoping the class comes back next session in the late afternoons.
Best is Michelle's TRX class!
It wasn't a quiet environment. Very distracting.
My son enjoys the camp counselors and kids just the same. There are a variety of activities to sign up for.
