The Mills County YMCA has been serving the Glenwood, IA community since 2006. The Mills County YMCA acts as a meeting center for all people, accommodating adults and children alike. With its gymnasium, cardio and weights equipment, group exercise rooms, Childwatch and swimming pool, the Mills County YMCA is more than a place to exercise. It’s a place to grow.

I'm putting down an seven because I wish there was more things to do for adults and teenagers. There's not very many activities. Plus I wish the pool was open more.

Machines don’t seem to get cleaned or lubed by staff on a regular basis. Also temperature is like a yo-yo, one day hot the next freezing. Overall not bad for a community gym.

Staff is very professional and polite. The building is clean and safe. The weight room is adequately equipped. The gym is large and well lit. The only negative is that the YMCA needs to get some new basketballs.

l don;t recommend things to anyone. I would like to say the lights in the exercise room should be changed to infra red. Blue lights are bad for health plenty of science behind this.

I love to swim there. I just recently competed in the Cornhusker State games and placed second in the 3 mile open swim , thanks to my practice at the Y. Everyone is very friendly and the others swimmers encourage me during my 90 minute lap swims.
