Evening class availability has shrunk to two classes leading to overcrowded classes. Bar tenders do not enforce any rules including, 1) customers wearing shoes or barefoot on the carpets, 2) customers talking on cell phones within the studio, 3) customers not cleaning their equipment, 4) no space etiquette explained. Teacher turnover is alarmingly high, and the new teachers that come in are under trained and then not evaluated promptly. This leaves long time customers actively avoiding teachers that have poor form, make no corrections, and are unable to stay on beat. Studio is often very very dirty. Floors are not vacuumed daily. Carpets need to be shampooed. The sound system often has issues and cuts in and out. Lights flitter and blink making floor exercises tough without covering your eyes. With low overhead, expectations would be that AC and sound systems work consistently and that the studio space is clean.
I love Pure Barre and already recommended it to friends and family!
I like the teachers and the environment. The classes I like to take are great.....classes, align & define. The schedule has changed and I wish the 11am classes would come back but that is the only thing that I would change.
Cleanliness of the studio needs to be improved, along with the offering of class instructors with consistency. We have so many new instructors and honestly the classes are SO full. Can you offer additional classes to alleviate the classes being so full?
Fun and challenging workouts with a supportive group. Instructors are great!
Many of the instructors no longer provide corrections and it's not as good if I am not doing a move correctly. Class formats are less varied, mostly Classic now being offered and fewer class times to choose from. Challenges are for personal goals only now, harder to stay motivated.
Incredible workout, many great choices of classes, friendships made along the way, fantastic, supportive teachers. Best of all worlds. Come join!
I've been a member for four years, and I really feel that the quality of the interpersonal relationships has improved significantly recently. The studio feels more welcoming and friendly, and I'm starting to feel some of the positive energy and sense of community that I remember from when I first joined. Areas for improvement Studio cleanliness: The Allen studio needs more attention to cleanliness, particularly in the reception area, the workout room, and the bathroom. This is one area where I think there is a noticeable opportunity for improvement. Class schedule: I'm concerned about the reduction in the class schedule. Having enough class options is important, especially for long-term members who have built Pure Barre into their routine. I believe reducing the schedule may cause some members to consider moving to other studios simply because it becomes harder to find classes that fit their schedules. Weekend class capacity: Weekend classes in Allen are often very full. At times, there isn't enough space for everyone to comfortably have access to a barre or enough room to set up a mat. I understand that popular classes will naturally be busy, but the experience is less enjoyable when there isn't adequate space to move safely and comfortably. Instructor turnover: We have had many instructors leave for different reasons, and despite the efforts to maintain the schedule and experience, we are still losing a lot of people. For long-term members, the relationships we build with instructors are an important part of the Pure Barre experience. I would love to see more focus on instructor retention and consistency. Things I really appreciate Friendlier staff: The staff feels much more welcoming and friendly lately, and I really appreciate that change. Equipment: The balls are finally becoming balls again instead of looking square! ð Thank you, Bailey! It may seem like a small thing, but it really does make a difference. Events and member engagement: I love seeing more events, challenges, prizes, and snacks happening at the studio. These activities create more opportunities for members to connect and make the studio feel more like a community. Grip socks: I also appreciate the increased variety of grip socks. It's nice to have more options. Overall, I'm happy to see the positive changes happening at Allen. After four years as a member, I care about this studio and would really like to see it continue to grow while maintaining the sense of community and personal connection that made me want to stay in the first place. I hope the feedback from long-term members can be considered when making decisions about staffing, class schedules, cleanliness, and the overall member experience.
I am still relatively new but so far I have enjoyed each class I have attended. The instructors are helpful and very informative with their instructions. I look forward to many more classes going forward in my Pure Barre journey. Thank you! Debbie Serpas
Great workout and instructors!
I love going to Purebarre, it's an escape for me to stop working so I can take time for myself!! Love seeing friends and the instructors.
Improvements- Waitlisted classes on weekends. Barre and equipment are showing wear. Barre not always cleaned every day. Class formats should be different on a daily basis - maybe have 5 different class formats at each hour during the week --- ie not 3/5 Classic classes at the same hour during the week What is great about pure barre - 5-6 class format choices. Friendly and happy teachers. Feels like a community.
Ac works better, consistent class schedule,
The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. The instructors are great. The classes are great.
Simply put, the Allen studio needs some love. The AC has been suffering and maybe contemplating to put some industrial fans on would help. The studio needs some dust cleaning and more attention to detail. The merchandise has been lacking. We celebrate milestones of our barremates and the pictures are not shared in social media even though we are the ones that decide to make it special and go all out for our community. The 5:30am class has been lacking instructors which ultimately ends up in having the same format of class repeatedly in the same week. Basically, it feels a bit neglected and survives on the loyalty and discipline of us who truly enjoy PB but there's little to say about administration of the studio reciprocating that love considering the amount of time some of us have been going there. I only gave a 7 because overall, I do enjoy the workout, and I love the community I've created in the studio. It's just that sometimes it feels if we don't take matters into our hands (such as milestone celebrations), no one will truly appreciate our presence there.
I love Pure Barre because it gives me the opportunity to experience different workout formats from cardio, strength training and flexibility. The instructors are amazing and the community of ladies I've met keeps me engaged and motivated.
Teachers don't seem to want to teach in Allen. Studio needs attention. Equipment needs attention.
I love the instructors and the class environment. It's very motivational.
It's challenging and upbeat! I feel accomplished after completing every class.
I enjoy the Classic, Define & Align classes. Except for June, I'm usually able to find one of those types of classes at 11am or 12pm which are the times that I am able to join classes. I've enjoyed the teachers especially Maddie, Brea & Brittany.
Cleanliness of the facility and additional sizing in the studio merchandise selections
5:30 am class Friendly people No impact difficult workouts Focus on hip and core strength
I like the friendly and inviting atmosphere. All ages, all experiences welcome. Modifications accepted. Importance in knowing yourself.
Air conditional... recently your instructors reject turn on. And is so hot during the class
When I first joined the Allen studio three years ago, it was a completely different experience. The studio was always clean, there were thoughtful touches for clients, and milestones were celebrated in a special way with balloons, shirts, and a real sense of community. The atmosphere felt welcoming, professional, and motivating. I truly love this studio and what Pure Barre has brought to my life, which is why it's disappointing to see how much the quality has declined over time. Unfortunately, many of the instructors no longer seem as prepared, knowledgeable, or invested in improving the client experience. Recently, during an Engage class, there were three potential new clients attending, and honestly, no one guided them properly with the equipment or checked in with them throughout class. The class moved forward as if everyone were longtime members, and by the end they looked completely lost. I wouldn't be surprised if they decided not to purchase a membership because there was very little interaction or support. In the past, management was present, and even the barretender helped organize the equipment and made clients feel welcomed and taken care of. At this point, I genuinely believe the Allen studio needs stronger management leadership â someone who prioritizes cleanliness, ensures there is enough equipment available, and maintains the studio properly. Many of the balls are deflated, equipment is often insufficient, and the overall organization has noticeably declined. There also needs to be more consistent oversight and coaching for instructors. It often feels like things are only done differently on evaluation days, rather than maintaining high standards every day. I sincerely hope the Allen studio can return to what it was three years ago â a place where clients felt valued, supported, and cared for, because that is ultimately what keeps people coming back.
