I am very discouraged by the selection of classes and the inadequate bathroom facilities at the studio. The schedule is heavily weighted to classes I do not enjoy and so I have trouble finding classes that work for me. In a typical week, there are three times as many define classes as empower and no afternoon empower classes. It doesn't appear to be an instructor issue; there are many instructors able to teach empower (and some who would prefer to do so if given the choice). Morning empower classes are a great addition (there are now four empower classes weekly, instead of just one or two) but with no shower facilities at the studio and only one bathroom, these early classes are only helpful if I do not have to go to work immediately after class. After nine years of very regular pure barre attendance and years of lifestyle membership, I am considering ending my pure barre association. I appreciate the community and will miss so many women that I've met. But I need something that fits with my schedule and preferences. Thanks for the opportunity to share my thoughts.
The best place ever
Attention to all participants and pushing them to keep going or add another level
Instruction varies unevenly between teachers, which makes me slightly hesitant to recommend it universally.
It's been my escape after long work days! The staff is great and I've really enjoyed trying all the different class formats. I'd highly recommend for anyone looking for a new way to integrate exercise into your daily routines.
Supportive community and teachers. Workouts help with balance and endurance.
I love so much about Pure Barre! The classes are challenging and consistent, and the instructors are engaging and helpful. I also appreciate that each class begins on time. I have met so many wonderful people through Pure Barre. It continues to be my go-to workout after many years.
The class schedule, on some days, is now almost completely Define and, overall, is heavily weighted towards Classic and Define which outnumber other offerings by three to five-fold. If those are the core offerings, I would not recommend PB because I think there is a real deficit of aerobic classes i.e., Empower.
Improved ventilation/ cooling system in space. Larger space.
Workouts, community, teachers
There are so many aspects of Pure Barre that I like. It's the most complete total body workout I've ever done, and I've tried almost everything. It is ALWAYS challenging due to the controlled muscle movement. If you focus on technique, Pure Barre shakes up your muscles on day 1 and on day 1000. I got defined abs and arms while have fun and without any injury or undue strain. I could go on, but I'll end with this: the community is wonderful â supportive and encouraging.
I like the upbeat nature of the classes, and the fact that many of the exercises focus on parts of my body with weakness, especially glutes and core!
Effective, targeted exercises. Class formats and of course the community. I have been doing Pure Barre for 12 years without taking time off. It never gets old or boring.
I'm new with Pure Barre and the instructors and the community are absolutely amazing. Everyone is incredibly supportive and the classes are HARD, in the best way possible. I am thrilled to be part of Pure Barre!
The sense of community! And the workouts. I keep coming back to them year after year. No matter what season of life I am in.
I love everything about Pure Barre -- the rigor and results, the community of women, the fantastic instructors, the variety of classes (types and times), and the music.
I like the enforced discipline. I just show up and I do as I'm told! And I'm getting stronger every day. I like the teachers, I like the other women (and sometimes men) who come to Pure Barre. For a few years during the pandemic, I exercised at home. Let me tell you, that was no fun! I am grateful for Pure Barre for the fitness level I'm able to achieve and for the community I get to be a part of.
It's probably my favorite form of exercise and I feel so much stronger than I did last year before starting. The instructors are very nice and helpful and it is well worth the money.
Love pure barre! I've brought a number of friends to join and they love it too
Everyone from the owner, instructors and clients are so welcoming! It's become a place to not only workout, but a community where everyone brings their life struggles and successes to find support!
