I would like more morning options (5:30 am on most weekday mornings would be great). I can only do 6 on some days, and often it is not the days it is offered.
The community, the class schedule and options, the instructors
while the classes that im able to attend are great, there are very few classes that work with my schedule as most of the evening classes are gone. it would be great if the edgewater location would offer as many after 6pm classes as the Lincoln Square location. it is also frustrating that when folks ask when to expect evening classes being back on the schedule some of the front desk folks will tell members to try different classes or to go to different studios, these answers are sincerely not helpful.
Everything! The instructors, the schedule, the studio, the classes. No complaints.
The instructors are fantastic, the community of people at Edgewater are so encouraging, it's been life changing for me!
Scheduling is simple with app, exercises routines change, multiple types of classes, trained teachers, neighborhood location and limited class size.
Align class!
Classes and ommunity
I love Pure Barre Edgewater! Everyone is so nice and welcoming. I always have a great time there and enjoy everyone!
I love that its a smaller community so I get to know people. I love that every class is challenging and the instructors are all so motivating.
The instructors are excellent and everyone is really kind and has great energy!
The staff, the workouts and the general good vibes.
Whenever a new person joins us they are immediately welcomed into the group. Every trainer comment is positive And the front desk staff is terrific.
The variety of classes and available times and most importantly the teachers! They are very knowledgeable and clear on form and instruction
I love that the Classes change, I love the fun instructors and I love that I am getting stronger!
I love the community of Pure Barre. I always feel welcomed into any studio I step foot in, and I always get the best workouts being surrounded by instructors wanting to see everyone succeed and challenge them along the way.
I would like more classes during the 4:30 PM timeslot during the week. Also, many of the new instructors do NO hands-on adjustments to really push those of us who have been there awhile. My goal is to improve, but if I don't know that I'm doing it incorrectly, i can never get better. We're paying quite a bit more money to not have depth and breadth of knowledge added to our workouts, so ensuring that instructors are adding that instead of just going throught the motions of diving verbal instructions, we should be getting challenging additions to our workout. Additionally, many of the new instructors always teach mornings. I'd like to ensure that the more senior instructors are spread throughout the timeslots so variation in style and teaching is felt everywhere.
Love the instructors and the friendly community! My favorite classes are taught by Melissa and Rosie.
better class times! have a class at 8 AM, not 8:30 AM; more class space on the weekends.
I love that it feels like a community and it's an empowering environment to be in. The smaller studio feel with extra events is an easy way to get to know people and it's been really beneficial for me. Having moved from out of state, Pure Barre was perfect for giving me something to do before or after work and getting out to meet new people.
Love the wonderful people, emphasis on form, and variety of classes. I'm so much stronger in my barre era!
The support from the community of instructors and fellow exercise folk
I love the teachers, the vibe of the place, and the workouts. They are super challenging but also feel accessible - like, they feel attainable even though they're so hard.
The air circulation issues in this studio are borderline unsanitary. The back door should be opened during define class, period. It's pretty gross to think about the air quality in the room. I've been considering cancelling my membership because of this and some other things. The mats should be cleaned better than just a wipe and I wonder if the studio ever deep cleans the studio carpets. Also the political conversations that some teachers and front desk staff have out in the open are not professional and do not serve the purpose of the establishment. If you want to welcome all, then stop having conservative bashing conversations in the lobby area.
The instructors are fantastic and it's a great community
The community and the instructors. I love them all.
I love how much the instructors care about each student doing the correct form
I love the variety of classes. I take all 4 regularly. And the choreography changes are great so you don't get bored and keeps things interesting. The trainers are very knowledgeable and encouraging. I like the hands on approach so I know I'm doing the moves safely and properly to get maximum results.
The staff are kind and helpful in all ways.
I love the classes, the ambiance, the staff and instructors, and the general sense of community.
I can really feel my muscles getting stronger. I also do Orange Theory twice a week, but my strength (and core) seem to be more positively affected by Classic Pure Barre.
Amazing instructors and strong sense of community; plus the variation in schedule times and classes provides a great selection in which to choose from each week. Hands down one of the best additions to our neighborhood! Thank you for all you do!
The classes & the community When I come in I'm warmly greeted by name and welcomed The classes are challenging and fun! The challenges are exciting and motivate me to keep working out!
Love the positive attitude the Instructors and desk staff bring every day! even on days where the class is hard, it helps keep me focused and striving :)
I love the welcoming, friendly environment! It's so beginner friendly. I never felt comfortable working out or going to group classes before joining Pure Barre. (To be honest, I didn't really try that many other places for long, but just could never get into a solid routine.) I love the language that teachers use in class, it helps you connect with your own body and reflect on how things feel for you instead of making you feel like you're being bossed around or over-exert yourself or should feel bad for a modification/taking a break. It makes me feel inspired to show up and try harder to get stronger. I've noticed really positive impacts on my ability to be mindful, feel present and aware of my body/needs, energy levels, and have continually gotten stronger. When I started, I could barely do a plank or pushup on my knees and now I can do the full version of the exercises.
There needs to be better circulation in the room. Also, classes are a bit too packed. Just a thought, there are some open storefronts and buildings on the 6100 block of N Clark, including a building on the corner of Glenlake and Clark that is going to be the new "PXM Fitness." A collaboration with them could be amazing. I wish that we could go to any Pure Barre (so I can go after work too, or on vacation).
It would be nice to have more 630 define & align classes for folks who can't make the ones during the day.
Great vibes, love the friendly staff and newsletter!
They way my body feels as a result of taking the classes
Community, fun routines, amazing teachers
The community is relaxed. The workout is not. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The studio is clean. Even when I'm fighting for my life in plank, I'm glad I went. Always sore afterwards.
I love the workout, the instructors, and the community
Friendly and attentive. Very knowledgeable staff.
The community and the instructors
Pure Barre is my happy place! I love the teachers, the class types and the community in Edgewater. Everyone is friendly and kind. The classes are challenging and fun! The teachers do a great job of encouraging and supporting in class.
