I would have rated this a "10" under the original owner; however, the quality of the studio has fallen drastically under the current ownership. There are fewer class offerings and the majority of the classes are taught by a teacher that doesn't do the moves correctly, gives instructions that are hard to follow, chooses horrible music, and doesn't make corrections when guests are moving incorrectly. The equipment is in poor shape and the studio isn't as clean as it was under the original owner. All in all, the studio is in a steep decline.
Find a new owner for our local studio. She is absent all the time⦠she has been trying to sell the studio. She really has run it down since she bought it from the previous owner. I love Pure Barre but may leave due to the poorly run studio.
The studio has been less clean and it would be great to get a better variety of retail in. Many of us would do more shopping if it wasn't just the same 3 leggings and tanks/sports bras. In the fall some cute jackets/sweatshirts and such would sell better
1 very poor instructor that despite many complaints by members is still teaching!'n
Primary concern: Quality of instruction from newer instructors has diminished both the fitness benefits and the enjoyment.
I have been a member for a number of years and feel like the number of classes and teachers has gone down. There are currently only a few classes with teachers who are veterans and a large number of them with a teacher who has been there a year, but is not a good instructor. She doesn't know basic things (counting) and seems like she's teaching classes she shouldn't be (Define). She doesn't seem very familiar with barre and doesn't model, correct, or tell people how to set up the move (ex.; head down, tuck your hips, feet hip width and center), she'll just say "put your leg back and push it towards the ceiling". It's fine for me since I know what I am doing, but new people aren't learning to do the moves properly. I avoid her classes, which is hard since she teaches a lot. I love Pure Barre, but have been getting discouraged lately. Thanks for listening!
Over the last few months, I've noticed a decline at the studio. I consistently attend the noon classes, as they're the only ones that fit my schedule. With no explanation, the Monday noon class disappeared from the schedule, which significantly reduces the value of my unlimited membership. Classes have also been cancelled with little to no warning, and the consistency I've valued since the studio was established seems to have faded. The teachers remain wonderful, but the organization and commitment to keeping classes on the schedule has waned.
It seems as though there are not as many classes offered as in the past. Hopefully that is temporary.
It's a great work out. Great people. The instructors are motivating. The classes never get easier! That's why I keep working hard! It's a commitment.
Everything!!
The cleanliness of the studio, the selection of clothes and socks, the state of the equipment could all be improved.
The only real complaints I have ever heard is how there are social cliques there. I am someone who just goes for a workout, but the feedback I have heard is the environment could be friendlier.
I love everything at CDA Barre. From the front desk girls kindness to the helpfull trainers. It s a fantastic little community!
Has been very encouraging and helpful. Exceptional class coaches and customer service.
Classes keep changing and some instructors need more instruction on how to correct, how to teach, and how to time correctly. No teacher corrects like they used to when Pure Barre first opened. Jaimee is a great teacher and I feel all instructors with the exception of Brittney, should take a class with her so they know how classes are supposed to be taught. The hot water in the bathroom is rarely hot. So everytime we wash our hands, they freeze. Pricing changes. Etc. Floor cleanliness in the studio could be improved. My socks are grossly dirty when I leave after class and the carpet needs to be vacuumed more offen.
It's not to high intensity but you still get a sweat on and are sore.
I love that it keeps me accountable. And I have met so many wonderful friends. My only complaint is that when they hire a new instructor they don't train her well. They need to be fully professionally trained and prepared! We have instructors that many of us won't even take a class if they are teaching. Very frustrating. This is a problem at pure barre CDA.
Good whole body workout, good community
The variety of classes and the instructors
It's a great place to get a great workout! People are always so friendly. The instructors are very good! Front desk is excellent. Love it!
Challenging workout and love the variety of the classes.
Everything!
The quality of the teaching staff has deteriorated in the past year or so. Very few instructors make corrections anymore. One of the last hires is a nice person, but can't count correctly and is offbeat.
