I love the variety of formats, the community and the pricing options.
I've brought a friend with me already! Love pure barre and recommend to lots of people!
I like the different types of classes and appreciate that I don't experience the same exact exercises when attending the same type of class in a week. Having an instructor is great to give my body adjustments or verbal reminders to keep my shoulders away from my ear, etc during exercises because sometimes my proprioception is not doing its thing and they can help adjust me so I do the exercises properly. Also, have I mentioned that the instructors at my studio (as well as the owner) are so so great and wonderful to follow in class?? Each brings their unique style/vibes and their different little things they do during class to connect and support everyone and set the mood/tone, which is super helpful for those early morning classes. I love the fact that as a physically disabled person, the exercises are low impact overall and I only need simple "equipment" to get a full body workout effect to strengthen, tone and burn, with some slight modifications depending on the exercise and day. Pure Barre has kept my body in shape in a way that I feel good about and feel proud that I am building internal strength to keep showing up for myself consistently during the good and rough times so I can continue to feel good and be strong physically. Plus, starting my day with the 6:30am classes with a smaller group of people (more space for my body to move!) makes it easier to physically and mentally go + stay accountable to my workouts. I'm just so happy that a few years ago, I discovered that Pure Barre is a place that felt like a dance studio and gave my adhd brain a variety while I strengthened my body. Plus, I get to be part of a shared community in my neighborhood that enjoys having fun events to look forward to! So so happy to be back at Pure Barre again. :)
