The counselors are amazing. I love that they speak to the students as individuals, they do not yell or belittle them as I have had that experience in other programs. The program allows the child to build friendships learn new things and life and build confidence. This program also helps me as a parent feel at ease knowing my child is being cared for by such an amazing staff. We hope this program really is considered for next year.

He is in a safe environment but can release his extra energy. I am upset they currently cannot use the pool. We are devastated that there will not be a YMCA After care program next year!

Hello, This program has immensely helped me with before and aftercare. Being a single mother of 3 and working super early I needed a program where my daughter would be comfortable, have fun and feel safe. This program has provided all these things for my entire family. My son works as a counselor because he loves the kids so much. To ge the news that the program was ending was devastating and I hope that this is reconsidered for us and other family's that use this program as an alternative to right at school. Right at School could never provide what SACC does in comparison to the connection the counselors make with our children. I am grateful for all SACC has provided for me and my family.

My son is beloved at this program. They are attentive and thorough. I love it!! Getting pictures throughout the day of what they're up to is my favorite.

Feel comfortable/confident with the staff and extremely accommodating to schedule changes. Never a problem, always reliable. As a parent, it does exactly what you need it to do.

My son loves the YMCA!! Summer camp and after care have been wonderful, they provide homework help and activities during the school year. The summer camp provides many enriching activities!

Make sure child's homework is completed

After care is hard for kids. The Y makes it a fun treat. The counselors are amazing and creative. They help with homework and plan fun activities to keep the kids entertained. They work with a wide age range and make it all work. They hold kids accountable in a healthy and appropriate way. I can't say enough good things about this program.

Get the staff off their phones. Every time I come to pick up my child, 2 out of the 3 staff members are on their phones, sitting, and not engaging with the kids at all. I saw an accident happen to one of the younger kids happen, when the one team member was helping my child pack up. He stopped and assisted the injured child, the other two just stayed where they were in their phones. Provide different activities depending on the kids interests and ages Bring back swimming on Fridays.
