Fun and councilors are so nice
my Daughter enjoys
This is the perfect place to have my kids enjoying the summer. Many activities and events that are fun to do and have a great time! Thank you YMCA!
Everything about the Y is good
My child loved chipmunks. Pls help me get him back in for week 7/13. :)
Love Camp Eastman activities and counselors and directors, everyone here are very welcoming and thoughtful, and we as parents appreciate all the fun activities planned and overall kid care. i do think the set up though are a bit tailored to older kids, and so sometimes the younger kids especially at age 4 need more support, ie having to lug their backpacks with lunch and full water bottles around camp rather than having it in cubby base classroom, can be a struggle for the younger kids at this age group. Unlikely to pack less things in bag since doing swimming daily (an activity which we love), and also found ourselves unable to pack warm lunches since we’ve had to forego the hard lunch boxes due to weight. we also wish to see a bit more updates, especially for those of preK ages - wish we could know what other activities they participated in other than swimming every day, it would be a better transition to support the kids coming from a full time daycare that had more direct and frequent communication with caretakers on a daily basis before
Camp is so much fun. I look forward to coming back every summer.
Summer camp has been a blast. Making new friends, learning new things, and having tons of fun. Swimming every day has been a highlight!
The kids enjoyed every camp week!
My daughter is always active and has so much fun. Every week is a different theme that keeps her engaged.
My only issue is, it was very hot last week and every day I picked my child up, she did not have any water in her bottle.
1st time my sons attended a week long full day camp. I was nervous that it would be too much for them but they LOVED it from day 1 and they could not stop taking about all the fun things they did. The camp counselors were fantastic. Thank you all
Very interactive , structured, and educational, great counselors and staff, they go above and beyond to make sure the kids are having their best summer! The camper to counselor ratio is small enough that I feel safe sending my child there and makes for a better experience as kids can get to know eachother better.
The kids love it. They wanna go everyweek.
My 3 kids, ages 4,6,9, loved camp! They enjoyed all activities! My oldest really liked the camp counselors which is wonderful to hear! It was their favorite camp this summer
Different weekly themes and an overall engaging schedule.
Wonderful staff, access to pool and outdoor activities and great hours
Our grandson had a great experience--he loved that he cold swim every day, there were themes each day of the week. He especially liked archery and the bouncy water slides.
My kids love the camp and have so much fun there. This is there 2nd summer there and will most likely be back next summer. The staff is always friendly and outgoing and are so good with the kids.
I love that there is a new theme each week. We do miss Rock n' Roll week which has been gone for a few years. Love the challenges and team activities. Love the special events and inflatables, too. The petting zoo, the ice cream, the magician; all of the surprises that get the kids get excited to go to camp each day. The counselors are all so friendly and fun. They're like big brothers and sisters to the kids.
The best place for kids to have a fun summer
They children are engaged in non-stop activities and fun. Let's not forgot lasting memories and friendships.
I really appreciate how they engage and entertain my child, and the staff are always so kind and friendly.
Camp counselors are super friendly and enthusiastic. Seemed they did enough activities to keep my child entertained and happy.
I love the themed weeks, the fun inflatables, the enthusiasm from the counselors, and the hands on activities. My daughter is 12 and has been going since she was 5. She loves it. My son is 6 and this is his second year. There is nothing better then when they come home with a core value card or camper of the day certificate. I feel like the camp is not just teaching my children how to be active and have fun. I feel like the camp teaches my children how to be respectful, kind, empathetic, and how to be a person with integrity.
Counselors are great
I'm blown away by the incredible experience my son Nick had at East Camp this summer! The staff were enthusiastic, supportive, and truly invested in each child's growth. The activities were engaging, fun, and perfectly balanced to cater to different interests. What impressed me most was the camp's ability to foster a sense of community, teamwork, and confidence in each camper. My son returned home with unforgettable memories, new friendships, and a renewed sense of excitement for learning. We can't wait to come back next year! Five stars and highest recommendations!
Staff is amazing and you can see the effort they put into making this camp amazing.
It would be nice if there was an occasional field trip. Even to another Y location?
Such a positive experience for both of my kids. Seeing friends from school and making new camp friends over the years. Staff is A+
Children get a fun filled day of special events and swim every day. It is exactly a kid being a kid day. We love it.
This is our first year at Camp Eastman! The activities are so much fun! Each week is jammed packed with activities that keep my son going. Everyday he comes home with new exciting stories and friends that he has met. I am thankful for all of the camp staff and leadership for providing my son with a fun and exciting summer! Thank you camp Eastman!
Better communication with parents overall. Child has expressed challenges with other kids and sounds like counselors are doing their best to address it.
Thank You! My kids enjoy the camp!
It was my granddaughter's first camp experience, so we weren't sure what to expect. She generally had a good time, but ended up taking a "day off" in the middle of the week. Because of the rain, the entire camp was in the gymnasium first thing, and the noise and chaos of 200+ kids in the one room was overwhelming for her. She is sensitive to loud noise and over-stimulation, so even though she was offered noise-cancelling headphones, she didn't want to stay for the day. I wonder if camper groups could meet in separate rooms on rainy days? She was able to stay through the next two days, but did opt out of some of the group activities on those days. In hindsight, I think she would be better off at a smaller camp with smaller groups. Except for the rain day provision, the camp is well-organized, with a variety of activities for the campers. The counselors were kind, caring and personable. She enjoyed them and enjoyed making friends with a couple of the other girls in her group. I would recommend Camp Eastman to friends/family whose kids are outgoing, okay with large groups and noise, and maybe have some outdoor camp experience already.
Have camp counselors do something engaging with the kids during drop off period. It can be very intimidating for campers to come into a new group and environment. The counselors should be doing things to make it more inviting.
My children are enjoying the summer program. They just finished their first week and are already upset that they are only signed up for two weeks.
It was our kids first time trying camp (Chipmunk age group) and he was very excited to have the opportunity to swim and be in the pool every day. We enjoyed the different activities with the theme of the week and how quickly the camp counselors knew him. He said he wants to go back again next year!
Children get the activities outdoors, including swimming. Children enjoy interacting with other children. The animal petting zoo was a hit with the kids they learned about different animals and enjoyed playing with them. The counselors are great and watch the children closely but also give them the ability to play and learn about nature. We love the YMCA and will always be members of this community program.
Swimming and archery
My daughter loves camp. This is her 4th Summer there. She loves all of the counselors and wants to be one when she gets older. The program is run wonderfully and everyone is so nice. The weekly themes are fun and all of the extras like popsicles, animals, bounce houses are enjoyed by each and every kid. I love the pictures and videos you take and share on social media, almost as much as my daughter loves being in them!
Extremely well organized and counselor ratio for children is sufficient. The programs organized to keep the children engaged is masterful. The children have nonstop entertainment throughout the day. I personally love it and enjoy the feedback of what I hear when I ask my kids "how was day and what did you do"? Amazing!
The staff are so friendly and kind to both my children. The activities are engaging and structured. The kids come home every day excited to talk about their day. The weekly themes make it fun for the staff and kids. They love being on social media for the camp too!
Very fun! Staff is friendly. The director is wonderful. No issues with bullying. Kids enjoy this summer camp the most!
Lots of outdoor time!
Something different everyday and the kids love the theme weeks. They both have made great friends
Engaging, active, give kids opportunity to learn new things and recognize their growth and good behaviors. Plans for dealing with behavior that causes things to become unsafe. Swimming pool and lifeguards. Able to manage medications - if needed like asthma inhalers.
The kids loved it
The price and times that the camp are open really work for our family. I love that the kids swim every day. My kids really enjoy all the activities and the special events every week.
all the games
