Facilities are clean and staff are kind and helpful

I tried to reschedule ahead of the first day, but phone calls and emails left my questions unanswered. I paid for my 5 year old to take sat swim classes and I just needed to move.our date to the following month since we got an opening in gymnastics waitlist at another location. Never got my money back or a chance to take him to swim class

My daughter had not been interested in sports until she started swim lessons at the Westside Y last year. Now she loves being on the swim team! The coaches have been friendly and patient. She looks forward to every practice and looks forward to every lesson before joining the swim team. Crystal Cantu has been wonderful to work with whenever I have had questions about payments, registrations, swim team enrollment, etc. She has great customer service skills and always shares her knowledge of upcoming aquatics programs. I am very grateful for the aquatics program at the Westside Y!

Was very dissatisfied with my son's swim lesson. When watching they had to share the pool with others like little kids and I feel they didn't have enough room. Also the teacher student ratio was not good there was one teacher with like 6 adults and I constantly would see the teacher talking to one specific adult and the students were just standing around in the pool which as you know the lesson was only 45 mins so it was a waste of time. Definitely not worth 100$

The one on one correction and feedback I receive from my instructors. I like how my instructors start with the little details and builds up steadily towards the deep end of the pool.

Swimming program for infants went very well. In just 3 lessons my baby was showing signs of progress and learning even at 10 months old. Very welcoming to families both parents were allowed to join the class and learn together.

At the beginning swimming classes were scheduled then canceled for following week ! Then on June 12,2024 I decided to call YMCA because I wanted to see when they were scheduled so they said today 5pm even asked for the name of child so then he said he scheduled for 5pm so I go and just to say it's at 6pm today sorry . Then whole experience with instructor seem like they were there just do job no interest in meeting parents or interact . After swimming lessons the same didn't even say the swimming lesson are over he did great or see you next time nothing. Didn't even make sure my child was going with their parents or walk him out ! Refund !

I called prior to my scheduled swim lessons to cancel or reschedule them to another month because i had a change in my work schedule . I didn't get a return call and so called 4 other times to speak to the aquatic director and still got no return call . I paid the fee and received no service . Swim Instructors are great, friendly and knowledgeable. They welcome the kids and I can see how much all the kids enjoy their lessons. My little one isn't as advanced as some of the other kids in her group but the instructor works with her at her level and I appreciate that. Lifeguards are always vigilant as well and I enjoy seeing them smile and welcome the kids into the pool. All the warm smiles and kind staff makes a difference and encourages my child to want to be there. Thank you all for everything you do.

The instructors are very friendly and is knowledgeable in their teaching. They are also enthused and excited for me when I succeed a task and overcome my fears of the water, I would definitely encourage my friends and family to take private lessons their.

We LOVE the programs and facilities at YMCA on Potranco. The Swim Class is wonderful! I am very grateful for the one on one instruction; it provides the training, patience and encouragement I need. My trainers are AWESOME!!

I'm not sure why we're receiving this as we showed up for the first lesson last week only to be told that the whole class was cancelled. I had to ask about a refund as it was not offered. There were no apologies for the lack of communication or the inconvenience. We are still signed up for the February classes and hope that those still take place.

Very professional and knowledgeable swim instructors. Very impressed on how my daughter learned to swim correctly (she could only doggie paddled) and float. In only 4 lessons, she learned to float, dive correctly and confidently swim underwater. Thanks YMCA! Will highly recommend the private swim lessons.

Two weeks of private lessons is not enough to learn. The lessons are really expensive and I did not see any improvement in my daughters swimming. I enrolled her to learn to swim on top of water instead of doggy paddle and she did not. Disappointed.

Loved that it was one on one. The instructor had so much patience with my daughter. She's 10 years old just now learning how to swim & they gave her so much confidence.

That the children enjoyed it and were always ready for the next day.

The things I like about the program ñ my children come home happy because they have fun everyday. They love all there activities and they love it when they come home and tell me what they make.

They are very friendly. My daughter loved every minute.

The swim instructor for the kids was great. My kids loved and trusted her, we appreciate her professionalism and she was great with the kids. We will be returning for swim lessons to further advance the kids.

My daughter has progressed really well in the swim lessons offered. When she needs adjustment to what she is doing, a stroke, or form, or what ever, she gets it, the instructor pays attention well and seems to make it fun.

Instructors that are trained to work with different age groups, swim supplies available, family changing rooms.

The classes don't start on time (due to a Zumba class that appears to get their full time allotment) and get out early so they are not a full 45 minutes. Too many children per instruction.
