The communication, the safety, all the activities, the hard work of the staff.

When I asked my kids what was their least favorite part of camp was, they said the bathrooms were incredibly disgusting. Coming from a 7 and 8 year old it must have been really bad. Everything else was great

We were not communicated to about our daughter having a meltdown in the lake. We were not communicated to about our daughter’s foot injury. She clearly told her group leader, and ended up needing x-rays, had a sprained foot, and missed the rest of the camp. This was a huge disappointment for us.

My daughter thinks that camp is wonderful but she says it's very anti-climactic at the ending. Friday afternoon doesn't culminate in anything meaningful with time for farewells to friends and counselors, it just sort of fades out with people leaving randomly. It feels abrupt and disappointing instead of giving closure and ending on a high note

Communication with parents, variety of activities, my daughter said she liked the counselors' "authenticity" and how they interacted with you when you were emotional, water time, the food, & siesta.
One note: my kids don't drink energy drinks but I thought it was *super* weird your counselors were promoting energy drinks on your social channels when they're banned at camp.

My 8 year old son loved all of the activities that were offered in the day camp. He is already asking to do tue overnight camp next year.

My granddaughter loves camp Weaver. She enjoys making new friends, the staff and all the fun activities.

My kids have loved Camp Weaver for a couple of years now. They make the best of friends while at camp, are involved in so many activities and the leaders really enjoy working with the kids.

I loved the extra drop off locations. That was super helpful. My daughter enjoyed camp and was excited to go each day. That's the most important! Thank you for everything.

This is Sybil's third year and Jenny's first. They always come home totally worn out but they can't wait to go back the next day. They love all the different activities. They camp staff is so helpful and kind.

Everyone, from the moment we arrived were very helpful. They made everything run smoothly, with staff checking in luggage and taking it to the cabins, to the health check in, and photographer.

I would recommend that parents and children consider, at least a weekend, if not a week, to try it out.
Camp Weaver has an abundance of activities for all ages!

My girls did arts and crafts/ animal care. Wish there were more activities for their age group horse back riding and more food options for picky kids

This is the third year my daughter has enjoyed summer camp at Camp Weaver! She always has a great time and the counselors are fun, engaging and attentive.

Last year I would have said 10. My son loved camp so much he asked us to pick him up as late as possible. This year (June 29-July 3) I think it’s at a 5 for a few reasons:

1) Instead of playing at the pavilion before pickup like last year, kids sat waiting with their backpacks on for most of that time. This was his biggest disappointment. Is this a new policy?

2) Last year he swam in the pool every day. This year he alternated between the pool and the lake, and he has little interest in the lake.

3) There seemed to be fewer activity options (less ga ga ball) and less flexibility than last year. Maybe that was the heat, or fewer staff around the 4th?

My son had issues with one or two of the kids that was in the cabin with him taking his belongings whether it was an item or his snacks for my understanding is it was an issue all week I feel I should have been called to help my son either process it or be giving the option to come get these said items instead my son had a really bad week because the kids that he had issues with were younger than him

On a plus side and they did a better job a far better job this year of taking pictures of the little ones so that was much appreciated

None of the support messages were sent to either one of my kids at this years summer camp. That's horrible! There should have been 7 messages a piece sent to two kids. How does neither one get a single one???? One of my daughter's already felt targeted the entire time she was there because she is black. I tried my best to ignore it but learning that neither one of my kids received their messages is unacceptable and then my kids said their snacks were eaten by other kids. This year was terrible.

Honestly this camp is like hitting the easy button. Drop off is smooth, pick up is smooth (even when it’s early), I don’t have to pack lunch or snacks and my son is happy at the end of each day! We love coming here.

Everything went well. My child said in his previous stays the food was awesome but he stated it wasnt as good this time. He wondered if Uncle Ray had new assistants.

My camper had such an enjoyable experience. The increase for the photos was a little shocking, it’s almost a $1.00 per picture so I could not afford to get as many pictures as we usually get.

All 4 of my kids enjoy going to Camp Weaver. The youngest 2 went for the first time this summer and they had a blast! Which totally shocked me considering they are hard to please

My daughter made really close special friendships and did not want to leave. She felt very well looked after by all levels of staff and the infirmary. She definitely wants to go back next year and for longer!

Very organized & efficient check-in, wonderful [climate-controlled] cabins, upbeat & friendly staff, beautiful grounds, kids get to choose their preferred activities, the kid raved about the food. So much to love!

Staff is always pleasant, my son has enjoyed his experience both times. When something went wrong I was notified . My son also enjoys the food. Great environment for kids who are used to being in a shell.

She really enjoyed all the counselors and their fun names. She enjoyed the ropes course the most. The only improvement suggested is more shade activities due to heat.

My daughter, Bao Nguyen, has been very happy at Camp Weaver. She seems to love it.

This camp is engaging and my son has always had a great time. A delicious lunch is provided and son always makes a friend

Each day at drop off and pick up the councilors were very polite and bubbly. Very welcoming. The staff was very responsive when I call or email and my daughter came home each day having the best day.

We love camp weaver for our child. Our only request would be more counselors for pick up and drop off so the wait time is less

Kids love having fun during summer. This is the perfect place to have all the activities covered up here.

My daughter had a blast. She’s not one to try new things or to be away from home for an extended period of time, and she got the opportunity to do both while also attending with a friend and making new friends. It was a growth opportunity for her to stretch outside her comfort zone in a manner that was fun, inclusive and interactive. She also spoke very highly of the counselors and had exposure to individuals from different countries (and even practiced Spanish with one of the counselors). She left camp with an interest in the LIT program in the future.

I love the variety of activities for the children. This is my daughters first summer here and we will definitely be coming back.

It very organized yet fun: kids spend a lot of time outdoors swimming, kayaking, practicing archery, and more! Bonus: I didn't have to pack any lunches or snacks! 😁

My son had a great time. First experience was amazing and he was the youngest camper. His bedding didn't make it to him for the week and his luggage didn't make it to him until the 2nd day so that was a bit concerning when I realized at pick up. The staff were great with the kids. He was taken care of in areas that really matter and kept safe. There was a lot of fun things to do. Swim test was hard which is appreciated as a parent. He will return next year and I'm sure have another great experience.

Lake activities, boats

There are two small things that would have changed us to a 10. 1 would be that there is a menu for the trading post. I didn't want my camper wasting money on things he didn't need so it would have been nice to discuss. The other is amount of time spent on activities. My camper said some things had incredibly long lines so he could only do them once.

The time campers spent moving to different activities. This allowed the campers to adapt to having an open mind with trying new activities. Requiring a password reassured parents that the campers safety is priority. Although the staff became familiar with you picking up, you still had to provide the password.

The car rider line greeter (gator?) was amazing! She made me feel at ease about my kids being there and having people love on them and making sure they’re safe. My kids are already ready to go back!

My daughter absolutely loves coming to camp. This is her 4th year and she already is talking about becoming a counselor. She loves the people, the activities and says the food is great! It makes me happy to see her so excited about participating each summer!

I love that you have so much outdoor time. Giving the kids a chance to choose which activities they want to participate in each day is nice (it also would be nice to make sure they get to do each one). Swimming in the pool or the lake is great, and I appreciate the swim test with different levels for what they can do. The drop off and pickup situation was great. The counselor being from all over the world is cool too. I think we missed the orientation so we'll want to attend that next time to see the whole camp. Love that you provide lunch for the campers too, that is so helpful for families in a busy summer. We will definitely attend again and may have to splurge on one week of overnight camp next year or the one after. This is a great camp, I'm so happy our son got to attend.

My son attended day camp during a rainy week, and while I understand weather is unpredictable, the activities provided were disappointing. On the first day, campers watched a movie while counselors sat on their phones. Camp fees are high, and I did not pay for my son to do something he could easily do at home. Later that day, his group was taken to animal care but had to wait for younger campers. By the time everyone was ready, there was no time left to see the animals. Instead of being engaged in activities, my son spent much of the day sitting around. Unfortunately, this pattern continued throughout most of the week. Because of the cold, rainy weather, I did not send a swimsuit the first couple of days. The kids were still taken to the lake but told they couldn't go boating without swimsuits, even though the director later confirmed boating could be done in regular clothes. Despite this clarification, counselors continued to deny the kids access, and by week's end we were told there would be no more boating opportunities. When I spoke with management, they excused the lack of better activities as a logistical issue. They explained that groups rotated for certain activities, and my son's group lost opportunities because of the weather. However, there could have been a stronger effort to adjust the schedule so campers still experienced highlights like boating and swimming in the lake when the weather improved at the end of the week. We also had issues with my son's dietary needs. I clearly noted on his paperwork that he is vegetarian and even offered to supply our own gelatin-free marshmallows. Still, the campers made s'mores with non-vegetarian marshmallows, with no alternative offered. At lunch, counselors failed to direct him to the vegetarian line, leaving him to think his only option was sun butter sandwiches. This showed both a lack of attention to the information I provided and poor communication among staff. Overall, the lack of meaningful activities during rainy days and the disregard for dietary needs made camp substandard this year. Camp Weaver is usually the highlight of my son's summer, but this year it was boring and disappointing for him and his friends.

The staff is FANTASTIC! The activities are always well thought out and executed well. When contingency plans are necessary, they shifted gears and didn't miss a beat. Both my boys loved Camp Weaver every time they went.

My grandson said he loves it and meeting new kids like him with military parents.
