Staff and instructors

One of the best kept and staffed Ymca facilities around. Mr A runs a wonderful ship! His employees are happy, helpful and love their job. Wish the Schertz facility was also run by Mr. A!

This location lacks overall care and attentiveness to the facility at times. Employees arriving late to open gym in the morning. Cleanliness some days is a struggle. I’ve seen folks walk in without scanning and nothing is said to them. Gives the optics that just anyone can walk in. Some employees act clueless when you ask questions. This place use to be a nice little gem. But have recently contemplated looking for another location or gym in general.

You keep losing instructors and changing classes. Pay them more and maybe they will stay.

Staff is welcoming, personal trainers are great, and place is clean.

YMCA staff do not ref games appropriately. Most times the coaches are having to make the calls. In a game where the other team was having a player kick our player, kneed him, taunted him, and body checked him. The coaches told the ref and nothing was done. We told the ref and nothing was done. After the game, Jacie told us she didn’t do anything because “nothing was brought directly to her attention” which it was. We will not be returning to ymca again

The classes I wanted were available when I needed them.

The umpire at Cibolo is crabby, and confused on rules. Madison Oaks umpire was so much better (had one game there). Catchers equipment is broken and missing pieces. Grass is unkept around ball fields. Our coach volunteered last minute (so grateful) but hasn’t gotten any support from the Y on coaching drills or anything. Practice is often just batting the whole time.

Overall the Y does a great job. I do think there’s a lot of opportunity with balancing teams, providing uniforms with proper numbers. Some teams have 3 kids with the same number. And refs can’t keep track of who’s who.

Facilities are a dump. Pitching machines are crap.

The youth basketball director is very unprofessional. Does not care about the health and safety of the children. Picks and chooses what rules are followed. Still haven't received the jerseys for my team. (3rd practice is this week) Teams are uneven and stacked and he refuses to adjust teams.

Excellent facility. Not enough classes being offered.

This is a convenient location. Would like classes run by a live person rather than virtually. Most tof the 8 am+ classes are now held virtually.

It’s always very clean: the equiptment, floors, and bathrooms. All the new machines that got put in around last year are amazing.

It’s so small!! It appears there is room to add on??

It just felt crowded in a small area where its weight lifting and cardio combined and almost all the equipment was being used so you had to share or wait for the equipment to open up

When class was almost over people started entering the room. They did not give you time to pack up your personel items before they were trying to lay down their mats. Maybe have 10-15 minutes before next class begins.
