I like the fact that the kids are playing as well as learning over the summer

My daughter loves camp at the East Orange Y. She loves the bi-weekly trips and making new friends. She has made a lot of progress socially.

Customer service was Exceptional in helping me with the wait list, registration and financial assistance.

It’s only week 2 at camp but I must say. My daughter has come home saying nothing but great things! She is having an awesome time. The staff is nice and welcoming as well

Lots of activities and exciting field trips for the kids. My son had a great time at camp.

My 10 year old son has made some great friendships and enjoys all of the activities and weekly trips. It’s been a great experience for him the past two summers

We love the East Orange YMCA a great experience with the summer camp everybody’s friendly. I feel good about dropping my child off and I know he is nonstop moving around keeping busy, which is exactly what I want for him!

My daughter didn't even want to home she enjoyed herself so much.

My son express to me every day I pick him up from camp how much of a good time he has each and everyday. I like that they take them on trips and provides breakfast and lunch for the campers. Its his first year and we’ll definitely be back next summer.

Organization is not the best. I also wish parents would get more recaps/photos of the activities they are doing. Was looking for more structured activities, like learning how to play sports, etc. When I ask my kids what they did they tell me they played with blocks or colored.

My son learnt a lot from the classes he attended. He enjoyed swimming classes with the Instructor who was engaging and fun.

The staff should not include the time they take to get ready in the 30 minutes allowed swim time.

My family enjoys the swimming lessons, dance, and karate at the Y in East Orange for the past year. I truly appreciate the swim instructors especially Ms. Rhina and Mr. Roma. You can truly see the love and passion they have for swimming. My son has demonstrated progress in swimming because of them. I am truly grateful. Thank you.

I was glad that my son was able to attend the Vacation Camp on February 17th this last month. He said he enjoyed it.

I love the variety of activities the kids are able to do throughout the program. The instructors are very patient as well. My child always looks forward to going and it has helped his confidence.

The East Orange YMCA afterschool program has been amazing. I like that they do different activities with the children on top of helping out with their homework. The staff has been great. They are very kind, knowledgeable and it shows that they care. When I pick up my daughter from the program she always gets upsets because she wants to stay longer. I am happy to know that she is enjoying herself in their care

For the excellent service they provided to my family and for their kindness.

I was told that the class that my daughter originally registered would be closed due to low registrants, which was fine and I understood. However, I felt like I had to chase the Director for information to confirm which class should she attend instead. I was told a class and started attending. No issue there because I'm familiar with one of the instructors who is there at the time. A supervisor asked my daughter's name to check her off, and of course her name is no where on the list. I'm going to keep attending because I know it's fine and I'm being charged monthly. I felt the whole situation could be handled better. All people need is follow-up and confirmation when it comes to spending their money.

It's convenient and teachers are good with the kids

Information is key, and I am always thoroughly satisfied with the quality of service and guidance I receive from Ms. Jada. Over the years, she has provided invaluable support, helping my children navigate and succeed in their swimming programs. Beyond aquatics, she consistently shares helpful information about the many other great programs the East Orange YMCA offers. Her expertise and dedication truly make a difference for our family.

Communication is key to every successful business. I have been calling to put my kids back in the Semi Private swim classes at the East orange YMCA, but to no avail. I have left messages and even requested to be called back, this is over three week, I am yet to receive a call back.

Have more qualified instructors who are not shy, takes lead, work with children who are scared of water with confidence. Sunday crew-most lack confidence and needs training on how to fulfill their role despite being a good swimmer. Play appropriate children music thats not too loud so that the students can hear the instructions. The supervisor on site needs to be course correcting on site at times and stepping in. There are some instructors I like for my kids but there is a lot of turnover and I refuse to leave my children with those with no confidence or realt guidance/plan. I'd rather travel further, pay more and go somewhere else.

All the staff and instructors are incredibly patient and kind, especially with adults who are learning how to swim. They create a supportive and welcoming environment that makes learning feel safe and enjoyable.

If the center is closed allow families to book a new date. Its better off that i cancel between December and March to avoid missed lessons

When classes were canceled once I received a call five min before class started and the other time I didn't receive a call at all and was told class was canceled when I arrived.Highly inconvenient since I have a small baby at home I had someone watch while I took my toddler to classes, I did like the instructor who taught my son I cannot remember his name however my time was Sundays at 10:30am he was very sweet with my son and patient as my son gets redirected easily.

The pool is always closed for maintenance but the place it's still very old. I have gone to other locations in Essex county and I realize this one is the least maintained facility. The only reason I still go to that location is because it's closer to me especially since we have weekday swim classes. During the school year it's easier for me to go to the EO and still have enough time for my daughter to do her homework. I'm not there because I'm satisfied, I'm there's because it's convenient.

Swimming instructors were very patient and kind at Swimming lessons to my daughter and waiting room was clean also the changing room/bathroom. Love the Swimming team for this summer!

The staff are friendly. The facility is clean. My child was in swim lessons and I just wish the sessions were a little longer. The sessions are 40 minutes. I would like it if they were at least an hour long.
