Good but the place always smells like ****

I always go to Floyd’s if I have the opportunity or go there after I’ve been somewhere else to get it fixed. I appreciate the consistency of quality of stylist through the hiring process.

The energy of the staff was warm and welcoming, its a very casual vibe walking in didnt feel like a place that is for old people like alot of shop I have been too...the whole experience was super refreshing

I was in town and needed a haircut. My son recommended Floyds. He's a regular customer. Not disappointed at all.

I usually get my haircut and grooming done at Barbon’s. However, as it is a Sunday and I had an important work trip tomorrow (Monday), I came to Floyd’s for a simple line-up service. DJ was the barber who I was randomly paired with at the Mueller location.

The request was simple - to have my neckline cleaned and make the side burns transition smoothly to the rest of my facial hair - which is how this service is advertised on their website.

DJ asked if I wanted a haircut, and I let her know quite firmly that I did not want my hair touched at all - this was a barbering service meant to keep things neat, and my regular haircut at Barbon’s was already scheduled.

She disregarded this request completely and instead took a large hair clipper and proceeded to give me a fade, going well past the side burn transition and deep into my hairline.

I was horrified and gutted that years of painstaking effort on my hair with my regular barber went out the window in a second without my consent. I was in total shock and as she did the other side, she started using scissors on my hair as she clearly realized she had made a mistake and wanted to cover it up - she said “a line up won’t do anything, I want to make it look like you got your haircut today”.

I am in total shock and scrambling to figure out how I can mask and salvage this butchery before my work trip - and the reality is that nothing can be done now.

I truly have no words for how upset, frustrated, and shocked I am that this occurred. A nightmare experience

I don't know that there's anything that y'all could do. You just have high turnover of stylists. And then you have no way to stay in touch with that stylist. The person we've been working with most recently has been there for a while but we know that we could call to make an appointment one time and she would be gone and we would have to figure out something else. That's not my favorite but it's the nature of the Beast

It’s been years since I have had a good haircut from Floyd’s oth service and cut were very disappointing.

Scheduling the appointment was straight forward. Check-in was simple. And I was happy with my haircut

My stylist was very pleasant and easy to talk to. My regular stylist was on vacation and I needed a haircut for a big meeting. She did an excellent job! She will be my new alternate.

Barbara is always the best and cannot go wrong with any haircut she gives me! She also is the friendliest/most interesting person you’ll ever meet! Always ask about her puppos

The Mueller location is becoming less of a good environment for me culturally, the music has gotten louder, the stylist give off a deep inner city vibe, no specific issue with my stylist, just the entire energy in this location has turned very “tough”. Culturally, the folks in this shop probably feel very comfortable in the environment they have created, but I will likely be seeking a new location and telling my friends how I feel this location has changed.

So glad my preferred stylist is back. Nallely is the best.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with Floyd in last 10 years of my visit to Floyds (Mopac and Muller).

We used to go to Mopac location. Since our move to East Austin, we started going to Muller location. This is the location that has stylist that lack the enthusiasm to give proper haircut. Of last 4 time, they messed up the style of my kid, he complained a lot. And this time the stylist did with me.

The barber messed up my style. As a working professional appearance is important. I had taken 3 days time-off because of that.

What was frustrating to me is the super hot water shower he gave me. I wanted to see if he would ask or cool it down. He did not. By that time, the shower was done. Short shower I have ever had.

This time I took my kid to 18|8 at Domain and it is great experience. For extra 30 bucks he get the service we expected.

Not visiting Floyd's Muller anymore.

The technique of the cutting has been very mediocre.

Maribel is a consummate professional. She is an excellent hair stylist and a quick study. She is the epitome of the perfect emploee .

Although you eventually corrected the issue, I had a very unpleasant experience with your assistant manager at the Mueller location in Austin, TX on April 25, 2026. She doesn’t need to be in a leadership role and represents Floyd’s poorly. My haircut was very substandard and she charged me full price.

I will acknowledge I was seen again the following day and the lead person was great and he took care of me and refunded my money. I was also seen by a great barber, Alice, who managed to salvage my haircut from the previous day.

Who ever the assistant manager was on Saturday is poor at best.

Because of her, I won’t be back.

I really appreciate Stacia! I follow her wherever she works which is around 15 years! She is professional, engaging and always at my best! I really just have a haircut as far as services. But the shop itself is comfortable and clean.
