Yaya is the best!

The hairstylist paced around me while chopping her scissors in the air like “what’s the next move.” My haircut isn’t what I asked for and I think that she didn’t have a clear outcome in mind. She didn’t orient me in
towards the mirror until the end, and made no effort to show me the back of my head. When she did orient me in front of a mirror she, unprompted, told me “it’ll grow back.” When she asked if I liked it and I said yes she said “really?” I like this Floyd’s location and I’ve had my haircut here three times now. My other two experiences were perfect and were the reason I came back a third time.

Yaya is fantastic! She's a sweetheart and very talented. I always look forward to my appointment and always receive compliments on my cut.

Cool store and great service

Barber seemed unmotivated and didn’t listen to my request. Cut my hair much shorter than I expected. Basically butchered my hair.

I’ve been going to this Floyd’s Barbershop for well over 10 years and have worked with multiple hairstylists during that time. The service is generally efficient, and while pricing has nearly doubled since I first started coming here, the proximity to my house is what keeps me coming back. My biggest critique is the turnover among hairstylists. It would be great if Floyd’s did more to retain the good stylists so they don’t leave for another shop or open their own place. Overall, it’s a convenient and reliable option, but stronger stylist retention would make a big difference.

I had made 2 appts for 2 people at the same time and they completely messed BOTH of them up so one couldn’t get the full service I scheduled, and the other had to be completely canceled (and then they cancelled the next day’s rescheduled appt too)

It’s very convenient to set up a haircut. It’s in a good location. The place is nice and everyone is friendly and professional.

The staff who cut the boys hair are always caring and attentive.

Had to seek out another barber afterwards to fix my hair who confirmed the cut was very poor and non-sensical.

Sam is the best. After having my beard detailed, I never have to clean anything up. He trims every wisker.

Floyds is a pleasure. The main attraction for me is Ya Ya, the best barber, at 85, I have experienced since hjgh school when our neughboir in Long Beach, NY who owned the Barber shop, cut my wild mane.The I also appreciate: The friendly cashier who helps me as I check out and greets as I arrive. Fixed my botched haircut AND told me how to request a haircut in the future to prevent my cowlick being visible. She worked with my request and didnt blindly follow it, but rather incorporated that with her expertise to create a great haircut. Will be coming back!

The barber shaved my temples which was very weird and not at all wanted. Never had that happen in 42 years. It looks terrible. Also sloppy haircut in general - missed spots of long stray hairs over my ears, uneven neckline, and razor burn from the neck shave.

I have been working with Yaya for years and she is wonderful at her job and a great person to talk to.

Mary is wonderful with kids and always does a great job.

I love my barber/hairstylist but chose to get an occasional haircut somewhere else because it is about $18 cheaper. I wouldn't mind spending that cost or higher if I knew it was going as a tip to my hairstylist.

the barber forgot about a whole 1/4 of my hair when cutting. i'm livid and the only way to make it right would be a full refund including the $10 tip i left

You all didn't disappoint me it's just I would like for you all to help me and my son with better linings, Don't get me wrong you all do a great job really it's just one time I had a bad experience on getting a lining & I don't understand why, & would it be alright if you guys get some white chalk for hair linings? I'll buy it from you if I have to. And thanks I'll still come to you all every-time me & my son and others as well.

My stylist, Yaya, was amazing! Did everything I asked for and more. It was my first time getting my hair colored by a professional and it's definitely gonna be hard to top. Will be coming back without a doubt

I had a great experience at Floyd's 99 Barbershop with Mya. Warm, welcoming, and clearly takes real pride in the craft. Every detail was handled with care, and the result was a sharp, clean cut that hit exactly what I had in mind. There's an easy confidence to the whole experience, the kind that makes you forget the clock and just enjoy being in good hands. Hard to come by, and even harder to leave. Safe to say I've found my spot.
