The service that I received at Friar Tux Brea was excellent, friendly, and efficient.
Set up an account with 12 orders for the wedding party back in October. Groom measurements taken in-store back in October, and we weren't informed until we went into the store at the end of FEB (wedding March 12) that the groom's measurements were NEVER recorded and that we would no longer be able to buy a tux in time. We did receive multiple emails for measurements of others on the wedding party list, but NEVER the groom. Now our only option was to rent. Had the groomsmen measured in Dec 2025 and when picking up tuxedos in March, 3 had to have their measurements retaken because the first ones were done so poorly. Never informed that the size of the tux needed for the ring bearers isn't available to rent...must buy. TWO groomsmen picked up their equipment the day before, and the shop didn't have a jacket that would fit, and the other was not provided a vest, so we had to hail Mary to another store (DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING and wedding is out of town, so groomsmen were driving all over SoCal!). The groomsman was later charged twice for the jacket...Anything that could have gone wrong, did. When you provide attire for a wedding, an expensive and very important day of someone's life, you need to be more professional and punctual. Not a single "I'm so sorry, this was our fault, let us help you out" was offered. Just the "free rental for the groom" that anyone with the qualifying measures can get. They did try to get us a purchased tux, but it would not be available in time for both our wedding and the second wedding we're going to, a month later, which was why we wanted to buy. I was told "this is a learning opportunity" for their employees...at my expense. Having worked in customer service for many years, I found the acknowledgment of employee error and the willingness to improve severely lacking. I will never recommend this place to anyone, unless you want to risk having half your wedding party show up without appropriate attire and no urgency to ensure smooth sailing despite all the hiccups encountered.

Tux fit great and it wasn't a hot tiux on a hot wedding day
My jacket did not fit and the girl helping me took the jacket and had it modified. When I picked it up she said I did not need to try it on. When I wore the jacket they only made the right sleeve longer. The left sleeve was several inches shorter.

The quality of service when it came to hemming/tailoring the suits for myself, 8 groomsmen father and father in law was terrible, every groomer men’s with the exception of 2 had issues with their suits/tuxedos being to small, short on the pants and on the coat jacket and shirt. We didn’t receive all suits until a few days before the event, and a handful of my party having to go on 2 or more occasions to get multiple fixings. My tuxedo pants showed the hem line on the ankle bone very clearly and instead of waiting again for the second time I decided to just stick with it. Didn’t a stressful time of planing a wedding this did not make the time any easier or enjoyable, when speaking to the employees about our struggles with multiple people, they did not seem concerned rather annoyed that we had make comments. Nothing was done to accommodate myself or any members of my wedding party. It was a terrible experience
Friendly service, helpful during fitting
Quality of tux was horrible. I went to tie my shoe and the pants ripped an hour into wearing it. The whole wedding party’s experience was horrendous with some of us having to send it back more than one time.
My pants were not measured right and had to be redone shortly before the wedding and one of my groomsman’s tuxes still wasn’t fixed even after he came in and it was all completely wrong. I got like 50 useless calls from you guys and I still had to pay when I got 6 people to rent from you. Friar tux was great when I was in high school but I’d never use them again after they ****ed up my wedding.

Happy to friar Tux again! My one recommendation is to have more clarity about the fitting and delivery. I went to a fitting and my suit came in with none of the alterations done. The store did an alright job with them but I ended up taking them to my personal tailor for a better fit. Wish the suit came with the alterations already.

Maggie was very helpful and friendly. The garments I rented were fitted perfectly, I am a big guy i was able to look sharp for a black and white ball.
After being fitted for my tux, I returned a week or so later to make sure that it fit. The pants were about 3” too short and way too tight. Also the shirt didn’t fit. When I returned at a later date to again try it. The pants once again did not fit. This is not usual for this location. My nephew recently got suits there for himself and his wedding party. Several of them did not fit.
The coat was about an inch and a half long and was not resolved.
Many of my groomsmen had there tux either too short on pants or shirts. I’m not sure how this happened but very unhappy
Was given wrong size dress shirt. I notified the staff of the situation and requested a change of item. I was told that a new shirt would be given to me. This was not that case. I was also missing dress socks, and cufflinks. This is unacceptable since the staff assured me that all items would be properly included.
Liked the entire process from the measurements to picking up the tux and the return.

To whom it concerns Your store Ned's to make sure the right stuff is selected when you pick up your tux. I paid over $600 for my tuxes, yet had to Drive way out of my way before leaving town to pick up the correct shoes. I think I should be reimbursed some money due to the inconvenience and the two hour Delay it added on my trip out of town to go to my daughterâs wedding. I gave you a 7 rating and not worse number because your employees at both stores were very nice.

Out of 3 total suits/tuxes ordered there were issues with all 3. My father bought a suit and was fitted for it and the sizing was all wrong when it arrived he had to bring it in and get refitted and have the items adjusted. My tux when I went in for final fitting I requested for the pocket square to be changed to same color as bow tie, later found out when tux arrived the rep did nothing, had to re order a different pocket square and called next day to confirm because the first time I requested they didn't do it. After picking up my tux the rep put everything in the bag but forgot my cufflinks which I found out on the day of my wedding. My son's tux was picked up and the shirt was a different color than what was ordered which was also found out on the date of the wedding. We had a morning wedding so no chance for changes. Felt through the whole process couldn't trust the staff at all, like it needed us to babysit it and stuff still went wrong.
Services and accountability was not to the highest standards
A good system. Having me try things on after having been fitted resulted in giving me a collar extension and a larger vest. 3 of 4 staff I interacted with were great. One was good. Ms Lim did a great job of getting me started.
From fitting to drop off the process was easy. I was part of a wedding where the men picked up from several stores. The suits fit perfectly and my store helped with a tie to match the handkerchief at the last minute. I helped two others by bringing their suits back with mine. Overall 10/10.
Pants were too long and they fixed them. They charged me 10 for that service; however, the quality was terrible! I wore my pants once and the stitches came off. Horrible service!
Borrow or customer service wasn't welcomed, I've been going to this location for years and it has really fallen short. Went in for a second fitting and they just shoved it in my face and said âbye" with nothing else. Horrible experience will not be back.
Hello! I recently rented a tux here. By the time I was able to take it home, I had worked with four employees. Faith greeted me professionally when I walked in and it was Maggie who did my measurements. She was very sweet and did her best, but my measurements were ultimately pretty off. It was when I came in to try it on and take them home I was helped by a young man (the taller of the two working there both times I went) who was trying to force me into wearing ill-fitting pieces of the tux. So, I left frustrated and disappointed until I called Jocelyn who picked up the phone and the district office and was extremely helpful. When I returned, I was once again helped by Faith who was the only employee that day. She was so helpful and I ended up getting all the pieces fitting just right, and left me with a great experience with this store after all â¤ï¸
My Tux was a good quality and very comfortable, sadly my vest had the stitching come loose and lead to a tear at the shoulder. This âdamage" will be fixed by a sewing machine in less than 1 minute. I was Charged $45 for a minor tear. Highly disappointing after every other aspect of my tux rental went well. This was not my first rental either Ive had many rentals with Friar Tux. I will probably turn others away since the amount for the repair was egregious. Definitely disappointing
Make a better effort to correctly size on first visit. My pants were two sizes too small in the waist and at least 3 inches short in length. They gave me a shirt neck extender instead of the correct next size. On the plus size the tux pants and shirt were nice quality.
First visit, pants were short and shirt was small and sleeves short. Second visit pants fit but didn't have a shirt that fit sleeves still short then had to ask for a tie almost left the store with out it, had to go back
I picked up the suit for the wedding I was in and by the way we all went and tried them on but in wedding day they gave me the wrong color blue. Which was humiliating the bride was upset. The group was upset and now I'll stand out in all of their wedding pictures.
