When I spoke to a representative on the phone, they told me I could switch out my shirt free of charge and I did not need to bring it in to the store when I switched it out. So my wife goes to the store to pick up the new shirt, and we got charged $22 for it. Person in store said we had to have original shirt in person to not get charged. Inconsistent messaging lead to us getting charged more money which is unacceptable in my opinion.

I had a great experience with Friar Tux. I went to the South Coast Plaza location and it was easy to get a fitting appointment, they have a good selection of high quality tuxedos and suits, and the stylists were very friendly and were pros at getting the perfect fit. The pricing is very reasonable, even more so if you have a group of 7 or more. The pick up and return process was a breeze. I’m glad I went with Friar Tux!

I will never entrust this company with any task again. From the lack of organization regarding knowledge of what suits were in stock to miscalculated dates to calling me multiple times that my suit was ready when it in fact was not ready. This business is unprofessional and should not be trusted by any individual or group of individuals seeking fitted suits.

Took forever to have our ties delivered, and were met with multiple issues regarding them that should not happen. The quality of the clothing was not up to par. Dre’s shirts had threads hanging off. One of the other groomsmen lost a button. Would not purchase another suit here again

The fitting for the rental suit was very easy and the staff were helpful with their suggestions.

The quality of the tuxedos and suits was good, as was our pre-event experience. However, my tux jacket was considerably smaller than the one I tried on and was fitted for, and given the time restrictions I was unable to exchange it. I regularly wear a 46, and was fitted accordingly. The jacket that arrived was a 40.

The product and service were amazing. The pricing for a toddler’s tux was a bit outrageous costing almost $250 the same as an adult and that is even with a discount. I could have purchased a brand new one for less than that.

I was assisted my Marco and he made sure my rental went smoothly. Everything fit great. Will definetely be returning for future rentals.

No one told me I would be charged for replacement 1 week after even after I told the store I wouldn’t be returning it until a week and a half later and would pay late fees. I guys charged me without letting me know until after I was charged I got a call. Just when I was going to use you guys 4 more times this year because it went great I will not be using u guys or bringing a party of 5 that was going to rent on one of the occasions . The guy that felt with my refund was extremely helpful and nice .

Returned my tux & rest of pants-shirt-vest- coat. Also returned my son’s & grandsons at 10:30 on Monday morning. The wedding had been on Saturday night a couple of hours from Irvine. When I returned the 3 sets of clothing; the one employee at the counter was helping someone else. He said just leave it & I’ll text you the receipt tonight. I said that’s ok I’ll wait for you so I can make sure everything was returned & I have a receipt for all three. Your employee copped an attitude because I wanted the receipts for all 3 & wasn’t going to leave until I got it!!! The rest of employees were doing inventory. 30 minutes later I got the receipt that everything had been returned appropriately!!!

I was provided the wrong color socks for the event. I was unaware due to the order being placed by the groom until the day of the wedding when I was the only one with a different pair of socks. Upon return the rental, the shop I returned the items to stated there was nothing they could do in regards to a refund or compensation for the mistake.

It was nice to have the tux for a week before my event. I work four days a week and it is tough to get to a business that late in the evening to pick up a tuxedo before your event.

Unfortunately I can't recommend Friar Tux to anyone and I don't understand why it's located anywhere near the luxury shops of South Coast Plaza. I was part of a wedding that rented through here and I received the suit way too late, plus the sizing I received was so off from what was originally fitted. Being part of the wedding party, I had zero time to get it fixed and had to wear a different suit to the wedding. On top of that, I offered to buy the suit jacket to get it tailored to my body and was rejected. Disappointment all around.

The tux, shirt and shoes all fit well and were in excellent condition. I received excellent service from the initial fitting through the pickup and return process.

I don't recommend things to people I would have answered it the same way if everything were 100% correct. It's a bad question to ask. I had two issues with my order. The first was that the pants for one of my kids arrived way too long. When I brought them in the person helping me said it was weird because the number the order was written for obviously wasn't for a kid. Then when the pants were fixed, they were the right length but the seem that held the fix in place was unsightly.

When I went in to buy a specific shirt the employee was not attentive or helpful. I had to order a shirt because they couldn't sell me what they had in stock. When I went back to pick up the order I had to wait 20 min for them to hand me the order.

Service and convenience. I rented a suit for my daughter's wedding and was traveling. Loved it that you were able to ship my suit directly to me. Also, I had selected the wrong color tie and called your customer service and they were able to help me match the color I needed by an online chat and they sent it out to me the next day. Wonderful service! and of course, the suit looked great.
