All of the staff were very friendly and understanding. We were taken by Max and he was very helpful with picking out a suit for my prom. Would consider going back again for another purchase!

It seems like pickup days (Friday/Saturday) are less staffed than drop off days. Kyle was great at managing several clients but I opted not to try on during pickup because of the wait. When I was getting ready on the day of the event I noticed that in inside seam on one of the legs had an inch opening. I tried calling the store to try to get it fixed but it was already closed. Needless to say, I was self conscious about the opening getting bigger during the event or people noticing the opening. Perhaps better quality control is needed. Kyle was very professional and apologetic.

I rented a pair of shoes and they were so uncomfortable and stiff. I got a blister on my heel from wearing them.

Overall it was not a positive experience. I got measured in Covina and then I picked up in Downey. The day of pick up I got the wrong size shirt even though you guys measured me. So I needed a replacement. When I got dressed at the wedding venue the next day I realized the pants had a hole under the right front pocket and luckily I had black briefs or you would have been able to see the hole. I had to take time to call Downey to let them know of the hole so I wouldn't be charged. That took away from being in the moment of my best friends wedding. The shoes were very uncomfortable and you offer no wide options for flat-footed people like me. I watched my friend get married as a groomsman standing there for an hour in pain. Again, for the $200 or so I paid, I was very disappointed.

Had a fabulous experience. I had a few suits in mind. The associate brought them out, which allowed me to decide on y suite. He made some suggestions on tie color and presto, I had a suit. Very easy process. Thank you for making my son's wedding a success!

When I went in to initially get fitted for a suit the person (a very short Latina woman with black hair I don't remember her name) helping me did not seem engaged or attentive at all. She had kept trying to rush the process and not hear out my concern with the fit of the pants. Due to my stature of being an untraditional size I will sometimes have to size up in the waist so that the pant can fit my thighs. She was not understanding until I had to repeat multiple times about my concern with the fit. Then when I communicated she spelled my last name wrong on the receipt she did nothing to fix it. My name is Capone Walker not Waller which I communicated multiple times. When I went back in to try the suit. The fit of the pants were off. The (short somewhat skinny semi fair Latino with black hair ) attendant was not engaging with me. He wasn't really doing anything to offer any kind of solution. His sentiments were like it is what it is. Now there is a black woman who works at this location. She was very helpful, she tried to help with alternatives when she saw that the original person that was supposed to be assisting me wasn't being helpful at all. I have been a long time customer of Friar Tux. My mom has been taking me to Friar Tux since my school dances in high school. I wanted to rent a suit because I was attending a Gala for the 20th Anniversary of TMZ (yes the major media publication). Normally I go to Lakewood or Torrance but this time I went to the Downey location since I live closer to there. Never in my life have I experienced service this bad. You guys made my experience completely uncomfortable. So much so to the point where I don't want to rent from you guys again when I can get something custom elsewhere. Please work on your empathy when it comes to your customers. Especially your plus size ones. Learn to listen when someone is expressing your concerns. Learn how to use verbiage that doesn't make your customer uncomfortable. What can you guys do to make this right? I wish I can get a refund all together, but I used the suit so the service was done. My suit rental was great, fit well and looked even better but the customer service is actually the talking point for Friar Tux Downey. The customer service was amazing and very professional and I'll definitely be going back for future events and also will be recommending it to others.

Stop sending me emails to return the tuxedo when I already returned it on Sunday. It's annoying.

If you guys know that the trucks are being rented for a party and it's mandatory to take it the next day or you get a fee. It's not right. That's the thing that really bothered me. We were really tired on Sunday, and we still have to go take it back.
