Great facility. Smooth operation of getting in with swipe card and getting to the lessons.
Accommodating and reliable
Swimming
They effectively teach my kids to swim.
The process to register and the number of open spots/classes are very limited for the size of the age group
Staff is friendly and encouraging, lots of variety of activities to learn
I wish there was more seating for families watching their children. Our kids LOVE their swimming lessons & their instructor is fabulous (Jonathon?)
I think the instructor is good, but I think there is too much of a difference within all the swimmer's abilities for the one's that are better to keep progressing at a good rate. Thank you for checking in.
Good customer service and amenities
Making classes a little bit longer would be helpful. My kids just get settled into their classes and they are ending. 10 to 15 minutes longer would be perfect. Otherwise, everything is great. The instructors are great!
Tried to book my son for lifesaving course. (booked in person, ended up being the wrong one so missed the correct course. Now must wait almost a year to book again. My younger son does the level six course. A different instructor every two weeks
Lots of timing opportunities to get multiple children into different levels of swimming lessons at the same time.
Instructed John is very helpful and makes swimming lessons fun and alawys look forward to swimming every week. I am learning many different swimming techniques and am becoming a better swimmer because of it just what I signed up for.
My kids love swimming and the open gym. The instructors are kind and fair.
The instructors are very focused on skill development and are kind of
A little more mature (older) and engaging instructors
Awesome!!
Private lessons and the instructor gets in the water to teach!
Seems well organized. Knowledgable instructors.
I find the quality of instructors is such a crap shoot...sometimes we get great ones and othe times its terrible. The class size is way too big this time. Star 3/4. So there seems to be very little swim time and a lot of waiting around. The teacher seems very distracted and talks to other teachers and lifeguards ans hardly watches the kids. The change rooms are always gross and unclean. I notice this in the women's as well. I swear we see the same hair balls in the drains and walls from week to week. It doesn't appear like anything gets deep cleaned. I would like to see better quality instructors and consistency and smaller class sizes and just better cleanliness in general.
Fitness classes, plus change room , childminding, cycle, swimming lessons
When swimming lessons are supposed to go from 4-4:30, but the kids regularly don't get in the pool until 4:05 and then often are out by 4:25. It doesn't seem like much but we're paying for that time and it adds up. Also, on the last day I heard the one instructor tell the other instructor "we're finishing up 5 minutes early today" and sure enough the kids were out 5 mins early. I would appreciate it if the instructions stuck with the time. We pay for the Y only to get the swimming lessons.
Most of the ymca summer camp teachers or trainers are not well trained and don't know what they are doing .There is no consistency among staff. Constant change of staff can have an impact on kids. Also more activities options should be made available. It is gradually becoming boring, with kids playing all day without any educational or skilled engagement. Staff should be trained on documentation. During morning drop off, some staff gets confused aa to what to do and looking for students names for over 3 minutes .proper organization should be done better.
