Some of the staff can be very rude at times.
I use the pool for the aquatics program. Their instructors are really good and they keep the pool at a warm temperature for older people. Great place to workout.
Love
the friendly staff. The instructors for the Tues/Thurs 6am classes are great! The EGYM is easy to use. Never have an issue with fitness center eqpt. Hope the AC is repaired soon.
I signed up for the Enhanced Senior Fitness program. I love it! I feel so much better than before the program. There are other classes to take too. I do like the Wetzel Road location because it's closer to home & is not as crowed as the Northwest location.
Friendly place with so many different ways to exercise
It just always seems dingy and not very clean. You are required to take your shoes off by the pool, but there’s crud all over the floor and it’s pretty gross walking on it barefoot. I’m also hearing of people getting warts after they use the weights or getting weird bumps on their skin after going in the pool at the Y. That made me cool off on going to the Y for a minute, even though I just joined. Not meaning to be critical at all, just sharing thoughts you might not hear otherwise. :)
Great pool like egym
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean facilities.
Lower cost.
The staff was very friendly and the class is interesting. (I’ve only been to this Y once; I would think the survey would be sent after a few visits!)
Need to have stretching areas with foam rollers accessible. Considering investing into Precor StretchTrainer equipment, like every other gyms does.
It would be great if your locker rooms were a little bit more spacious and had more than two toilets. It’s hard to share a bench with more than two people because everything is so crowded in the locker room especially during a pool class. Many people try to change in the toilet stall, leaving people who really need to use the bathroom with no place to use it. You need more space and more toilet toilets. Otherwise, I love everything else.
Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable.
The classes available. Body pump. Body strength. The instructors are also great. Jennifer, Jessie and Sue. All great. I also use treadmill in winter, and bike. I use EGYM when not doing weight classes
Monthly fee is high for what you get; everything else is an add on (ie swim lessons); instructors do not take time with kids; minimal interactions. Very disappointed overall.
I enjoy going to the North YMCA. I participate in the group exercises and use the pool to swim laps. All the instructors are really nice and help motivate you. Everyone at the desk is friendly when they greet you. Clean facility with a variety of activities.
The class
Bad
Great staff especially in the pool class. Friendly and professional. The class was challenging and fun!
Would recommend if the topic of gyms came up. I do come to this location as my primary ymca location as it is close to home. I have not experienced any problems since I have been coming here.
Your employees 100/10.
Would love to see a couple of Concept2 skiERG machines. Nordic rowing machines made by same folk that make rowers.
Could you add a status of the steam room somewhere? Hate walking in to find it out of order.
Im sure you are trying but so many things need repair it seems. Right now the fitness room is really hot, a/c is not working . The other week the pool was not accessible. It just gets annoying.
Update a bit- hallways etc
The rooms and hallways are to small
As a parent whose child attends daycare, it’s quite frustrating that I have to park so far away to run her in & out. The maintenance staff either stares at you, or yells at you for your parking. Once camp starts, I won’t be able to park on that side because the camp kiddos like to play rough as you walk by them.
Less than thrilled.
