I like my trainers knowledge and personality.
Mo is helping me achieve my goal of increasing my strength and mobility. The sessions are motivational and I am enjoying doing exercises I didn’t think were possible for me.
The aquatics director was amazing at helping find a swim instruction schedule for my son.
I love to swim! I loved going to the energy factory it is amazing 😃😄
We have a wonderful group of people. We enjoy each other’s company and go out to eat afterwards on the last Friday of the month. The water temperature has been much better lately.
Lack of organization
Everyone is really nice. The pool is clean, the life guards are on top of it. The locker rooms can be little chilly after you get out of the pool, but that's my only complaint. It's a nice place to be.
Cut down on the bullying
Great way to get fit and meet people
I like everything at Reidsville Y! All staff and instructors are a delight to see! The pool is amazing! Location is perfect, plenty of parking.
What in the world is the Young Men's Christian Association (with Bible verses on the wall in the fitness center) doing with any part of Pride week celebration? AWFUL!!!
The small group situations bring you into contact with others who are like minded about their health and the instructors take a genuine interest in each participant's well being.
The Reidsville family ymca staff is always happy to help and guide, making each visit the best it can be. i’ve just completed a small group training with Meredith. She is knowledgeable and always willing to recommend alternatives if standard exercises are a challenge.
I like the variety of fitness classes offered and the times as well. Small group and personal training are also a plus to me. I would like to know why the Y is not open on Sundays anymore since Covid. I assume it is a payroll issue.
The Reidsville YMCA is the best in its class! Meredith is in a league of her own! Staff matters and I really enjoy coming here.
Your staff carry themselves very professional very educated with the equipment pleasant smiles
The staff is really nice. I also like the programs that are offered here. My biggest issue is with the quality of some of the equipment in the gym. The stationary bikes could use replacement. One of the bikes makes an obnoxious clicking sound while riding the entire time. The other one is missing a strap or doesn't strap on correctly. I also think that you want to be more strict about making attendees wipe down the equipment after ever use, especially the weight machines
The classes are so beneficial…you meet some amazing people. All of the instructors are amazing.
All staff members are professional and friendly. They make you feel welcome and appreciated. The comraderie among members is exceptional.
Best people work there.!! They take time to answer one`s questions and help one. know more about the procedure one is learning to accomplish !!,,,,,Our morning group is A+++ all the way!!!........Betty Faber and Woody Ore
Carisha (?) is wonderful! I have recommended her class many times.
The people there are welcoming. The classes are fun and the machines are very nice. The trainers are very inspiring and motivational! The value for what you get exceeds my expectations!
I love sweating with my friends and laughing, I miss people when they are gone. Welcome them when they come back. I have gotten stronger and gained confidence in my body.
The Reidsville YMCA is the best thing since sliced bread! Meredith is an amazing and I will sign up for every program forever!
I can actually see and feel a difference in my body and attitude with working on the encouragement of the staff and trainers. While they are concerned with our questions and improvement, they keep in mind and remind us of being mindful of our body state
to care and .modify movement and instructios for our best results! Always noting our progress and encouraging our efforts makes me feel like no question is too small and like I really got this or it is actually possible to come to life again ❤️
Everyone is so nice & welcoming! My trainer Meredith is so motivating & I have changed for the better! The Silver Sneaker classes with Emily as well as Emma are fun and I really feel workout!!
Low cost. Good equipment. Great staff
The Reidsville Y has so many options for fitness to appeal to most everyone and the staff is all fantastic. They really want everyone to participate and succeed.
Very friendly staff
Would be great if you would keep the pool open.
I have been to all 3 aqua aerobics classes now. Honestly, the 6:00 am class is the only one that I would even attempt to call aerobics. I have Lupus, Fibromyalgia, 3 types of arthritis, and an artificial hip, so please be aware that I see these classes from all angles. I believe that all 3 classes need a certified aerobics instructor, not just a class attendant that is willing to take over the job of leading. All 3 need to facilitate an exercise environment and not just a social hour. All 3 classes need to encourage its attendees to push themselves to increase their heartbeat to the aerobic level. These classes should not be an environment where members are put under religious persecution, and they definitely are not places where members are pushed to convert to one religion from another. This environment is not always a safe place, and I have missed out on exercise classes because of it. I would highly recommend the 6 am class, but I wouldn't recommend the other two for any type of fitness level.
I love the friendly environment, easy access to equipment, fun classes, and many ways to stay motivated.
Love the staff and facility.
YMCA Reidsville is staffed by professionals who are consistently friendly, supportive and interested in their members.
I love the family environment. However, the YMCA needs to desperately invest in remodeling inside of the building and also cleaning the locker room restrooms along with the regularly sweeping and mopping the floors. They do an excellent job wiping down the machines. However, a thorough cleaning is needed.
Everyone is friendly. I've used the steam room and I thought it was a great experience. I've used the Sauna, Pool and weight facilities (free weight, machines, and treadmill). My wife will start coming to some classes soon. I think the facility is complete and it is in good condition. I do believe it wastes alot of cleaning paper as people use huge pieces to wipe the machines. The dispenser only needs a couple of pulls and most people use 5-6 pulls. That's the only flaw I've noticed so far.
I love the family environment but it’s too expensive for me to recommend
I enjoy going to the Y because when I go,
I don't have any issues getting on what ever machine I want to use. So this is why I would recommend others and also the staff is very friendly ☺️
Unclean mats in fitness room
I would like the monthly pool schedules to be posted so that we can know when scheduled closures happen
Friendly staff! Gym is always very clean, kind staff and members.
Initially the Y was like a family. Unfortunately folks move away. When you come to a difficult point, no one follows up to see if you’re ok. So it has gone from a family gathering daily to a put your head down and buzz through to get your workout done. Kinda sad.
Various times and nice knowledgeable instructors.
Just frustrated because when we paid y'all couldn't even let us know when the first practice was couldn't give us any information. When Kia was in charge, she had everything together. We had the coaches reached out to us right away. We had a piece of paper stating exactly when practice was where to meet we didn't have to chase down the leader to figure out what we were doing my youngest son due to him not having a coach. I have no clue when practice is it's really frustrating and we didn't get a piece of paper stating when they were practicing it was all on email and it's frustrating because we get so many emails. It's really hard to keep up with all of that. It's better just to have a piece of paper that we can put on the refrigerator to know what the schedule is. I just pray that next year is better. It makes me not even walk to put kids in the YMCA.
Some of the equipment was dated compared to other YMCA I have attended. There should be signage to direct new members.
Friendly staff and good work out equipment.
The sports Director is very rude and hateful. Is more worried about his personal time then the time the kids get on the field.
Flexibility and inexpensive for members!
coaches for kids
There is a lot of issues with the pool and that is the only thing I come to the Y for but when it is open and I am able to get in I am satisfied.
