A wonderfully, well-equipped "Y" with an amazing staff that is there to serve it's members. Wouldn't think of going to another fitness center!

It's not always very clean.

The staff at the YMCA are always friendly and very polite. The facility is kept clean and organized. I highly recommend this facility for your fitness and health.

The facility is well kept, I love the classes, friendly staff and welcoming.

Sometimes it is difficult to get on a machine because folks scroll on their phones for as much asd 5 minutes between sets.

Great facility, wide variety of classes and friendly staff

I've been going to the Y for 30 yrs. I've personally seen the decline of Lifeguard professionalism in multiple cities. I get it, it takes discipline - I was a YMCA lifeguard myself only after witnessing/rescuing a drowning child in a chaotic pool with 7 other lifeguards in the same room! The Schertz YMCA Lifeguards take their job seriously and I highly commend their Aquatic Leader for instilling this training! I feel confident that I am in safe hands when I swim here because of this. TY!

great facility and staff

There are not enough evening aqua group classes. And the two classes offered have very limited slots, which fill quickly.

The facility is clean and well kept. I belong to the Schertz location and it is busy with somewhat restrictive hours, depending on the day. I love the variety of group class offerings, although it seems lately these have less in variety of time and exercise option. I travel often and belong to the YMCA for its national membership offering- that’s a definite plus.

I feel so incredibly happy and comfortable there! Plus, child watch is WONDERFUL, both as a parent, and my kids LOVE going! I love all the machines and options for being healthy! The splash pad is also HUGE for us in the summer!!!

Everyone does an awesome job and Everyone is always very nice and polite.

I’d like to see the rock wall removed since it’s not being used. This would provide room for more equipment. Which is about to become even less available with all the kids there all day during the summer. 😕. Wish they had designated times.

The are some machines that are helpful for me.

I love the atmosphere, variety of group exercise classes and the instructor staff. The y is close to my home, so I also live the convenience.

The facility does not offer enough classes. It is frustrating trying to sign up for the classes. Even if you try to sign up right when availability opens, it is difficult to secure a space.There is a limited availability in each class because of the small size of the facility.

Facilities are always clean. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and passionate. I’ve been going to this location since I was a little girl and have zero complaints. Though I wish I could attend more Zumba classes/events!

I’m not able to get in the classes. The website to sign up for classes is not working.

I’ve been coming here more than 10 yrs. Love that we have the gym and pool. Overall a good place. Whether you’re greeted when you come in depends on who’s at the desk. The inconsistency of the staff who open the pool is hard to deal with when you have to skip your 5 am workout bc someone didn’t show up to work on time. Fixing that would be great!

I like the instructor and the fact they always cautious about your well being.

I really enjoy the aqua fit/zumba classes and the in studio zumba classes. The instructors are very knowledgeable and make the classes fun. It makes it easier to keep going and helps you achieve your fitness goals.

Staff makes you feel very welcome as soon as you hit the door. Always carry there selves in a very professional manner .

My only complaints are the size. There are some workout machines missing and I feel they are crammed together. Also..disinfecting wipes would be great instant spray and paper towels

I really enjoy all the classes I take. All my instructors (Eerin, Lindsey G, Aubrey, Rachel and Edna) are helping me archiving my fitness goals, always giving me advice and encouragement. Classes are kept interesting and on point. Staff is always friendly and helpful and the cleaning personal keeps bathroom and showers spotless. Studio 1 and 2 would need a good sweep everyday, many times hair, dirt and art supplies are on the floor. Too bad the facility does not have more studios for more classes, it’s hard to get into some of the classes in the morning. Schertz YMCA is doing a great job keeping facility in good shape, it is a great place to successfully exercise and make new friends. I enjoy my visits very much and feel a lot more healthy.

I would really appreciate if there could always be 1-2 open lanes at all times. I really dislike how I cannot use what I pay for between 5-8pm during the week due to swim classes or school athletics. We all need to share. That timeframe is highly convenient for me but I can’t go because there is not place for me. Really frustrating.

Not enough classes and the 3 day advance reservation requirement is totally annoying especially if you are in a class or workout and have to stop to try and get a spot.

I use the pool at the Y and that is it. I've had to discover the best time to show up.

Keep the doors closed to the cycling class or turn down the music. Explain to members about using headsets.

Joined to use the pool for aqua classes. There are very few classes for working people and it’s very loud because evening classes share the pool with the kids

I only attend water aerobics and would definitely recommend it. My only concern is that sometimes it’s hard to get into a class.

I feel like every year my rates go up “just a few dollars” I currently pay $73 and know people who pay $25

There should be a set time for adults and seniors to swim not fight for a lane with small children in it especially on Sunday

A family environment well staffed

Nice atmosphere, clean surroundings and friendly courteous staff.

There are lots of family events. The staff cares about the atmosphere and are always helpful. There are lots of classes to choose from and equipment to use outside of a class. Would like another Smith machine though.

Great staff

The front desk staff is always so welcoming in the morning. I’ve tried the cycle class and Rachael did a great job getting me set up for instruction. Love love love Weights and Worship…Erin A. is a great instructor, always explains things well and monitors to make form corrections during the workout (which I appreciate). For improvement, I would request that instructors in other classes do the same (i.e. Lindsey in Row Circuit- the class could benefit from some more deliberate explanation of form and moves. Instead of the instructor working out along side us, it would be better if they walked around to guide people. I saw a lot of poor form in rowing and weight lifting movements that could cause injury).
