Facilities are clean and has good programs. The childwatch is a plus that no one else offers. The only thing is that members who signed up a few days prior to ymca publishing new deals can get the same deal because it is not fair

I really like the small class sizes

The group class space is huge. Downside is the floor is sticky, not very conducive to pivoting and quick dance moves.

Good classes, great teachers, equipment that works, help is availability, safe surroundings in the parking lot and in the building and a wide range of classes. Friendly people staff and patrons.

Clean pool, good classes, clean facilities.

Better maintenance in the women’s locker room.
I have noticed the women’s lockers need to be replaced. Rusted bottoms of lockers. I have also noticed hair in the shower drains.

Could use an update. Other y’s when you are using machines, you can lookout windows. Still nice to have tvs above windows

The place needs a refresh. Armbrust recently redid their lockers and SWY needs the same. I now only use the place when I am not using the lockers. The people are very helpful, which makes it worthwhile

The showers need an actual door. The curtain was shut and shower on and somebody pulled the curtain back “ looking” for her kid. It also needs a space in shower to keep my clean clothes dry, so I can change in shower.

Showers always look disgusting. Pool doesn't seem clean, either, but I swim then shower at home. Price seems high for what you are getting, but I love to swim. On the plus side, the staff is friendly and lately there is a lane open.

Please put a swimsuit spinner in. Other metro Ys have them.

Senior classes/activities are the best. Jackie Wattenhofer is an excellent instructor as well as wonderful at arranging other activities to engage seniors.

I think all the guards at SW YMCA are wonderful! Starting the one on one lessons has been a game changer.

Love the ladies who teach Silver Sneakers. They are great.


Some of the exercise equipment is out of order consistently.

I am a big fan of Jacquline & her classes at the Southwest location in Omaha, NE. I followed her from the Westview YMCA. She is by far the best instructor. Not only does she instruct & inspire but she genuinely cares about the people she surrounds herself with.

Everything was clean, the machines are in great shape and everyone's friendly.

Becky makes working out fun and she is easy to follow I. Group active. The front staff is friendly and always greats me when I walk in. The gym is clean and not intimidating.

I love this location. I swim lap and joined about 18 mo ago. I know the pool is very old, guessing you can't clean the pool floor any better due to old stains?

Personal preferences as to ability to tolerate all generations with different levels of respect.

The variety of classes offered

Locker room needs updated badly and no extra amenities like a hot tub.

Experienced staff that works well with class participants.

Silver Sneakers program and social events/trips for older members are excellent.

Staff and participants are welcoming.

It has a pool and equipment not at my home Y.

They are the best!!! The location is so friendly and takes an interest in who you are.

The exercise areas a nice and roomy and staff is very friendly. Pool is a bit warm for laps, but I can always find a lane. I would like a suit spinner, but otherwise it’s great

I like the classes offered at 9am, M-F. The instructors are motivating and do a great job. I especially like the new instructor on Tuesday, Irene. But Hannah, Lisa, Jackie and Erin, are all great too!

I like Open Swim for my grandchildren, especially in the winter.

However, I think the locker rooms need a major remodel. Armbrust has remodeled their locker rooms and that building is way newer than Southwest.

I like the quality of the group instructors, the friendly and helpful people at the front desk, and the cleanliness of the Y. I am impressed by other offerings that have to do with topics like healthy eating and weight management.

Shower water is not hot enough ! Men’s lockers are a piece of crap. Terrible! Missing hooks & not big enough.

I mainly go to the Westview YMCA because I like the classes and teachers there. I do like to come and swim and bring my grandkids to this Y. It is warmer in the pool and in the pool room. The lifeguards actually let the kids play. Armbrust lifeguards are constantly blowing their whistles at kids.You open the slides more also.

I loved the line dancing pop up at this location. It would be great if it was a weekly class!

Some of the equipment is a bit outdated and the general flow is a little rough otherwise I enjoy my time there.

Facilities are dated, especially the locker rooms. The soap dispensers in the men's locker room are constantley out or do not worrk. There also always seems to be a light out in the shower area of the men's locker room.

I find SW Y to be clean, plenty of machines with not so claustrophobic layout, in a cool climate controlled room, never out of supplies and a friendly staff.

Great classes. Friendly staff who most often have a smile and greeting for you. Very comfortable and relaxed. I would love to see new lockers and showers in the locker room.

I already have recommended you several times, and will continue. The pools are what keep me going, physically, and for fun and relaxing!

Please don't send these every month -- once a year should be enough. If you really think your systems change measurably within a month, then you should send it to different people. Sending to the same people each month is invalid -- dependence among the measures

CLEAN AND REFRESH LOCKER ROOMS. THEY ARE NOT PLEASING.

Friendly staff, lots of open machines and gym space. Everyone is always so nice!
