Have found some new friends. Staff is very friendly.
Would rate higher if cell phones were not allowed in workout area
Love the classes and friendly welcoming staff.
I love the facility and the staff, but sometimes it is overrun with high school kids and hard to get a consistent workout in.
Love this Y The locker room and pool are always clean. The weight area has plenty of space and equipment. Pool hours, including on the weekends work well with my schedule.
I like that the facility is clean and friendly. I love the pool and the classes offered, specifically Aquasize and silver sneakers. The instructors are all so friendly and accommodating. It’s good to see Zach being very visible in the building.
The only concern I have ever had with the Y, and I know it will return this fall, is the parking. I think it’s unacceptable to expect Y members to park at the bottom of the hill in the junior lot, especially with the weather and limited mobility of some members.
I’ve been told that they’re “monitoring” parking but that’s not a resolution of the problem. I think that when school starts there needs to be a definite plan for more convenient Y parking. Thank you
The staff is pleasant and helpful. Kept clean.
The workout area are often full of kids who hog equipment while on phones. The border and around equipment is dirty/ dusty.
Great facility and great staff!
Friendly desk people, clean equipmen. Clean bathrooms. Smell nice.
I feel uncomfortable when the outside door to the pool area is propped open. It is evident from the outside when the door is open and anyone could just walk in.
Weekend hours should be longer. Need more equipment. Extremely expensive
I understand there are hundreds of kids participating but it seems disorganized. Lack of communication, lack of details and information for volunteer coaches
It’d be nice if you staggered start and end times so the parking wouldn’t be so atrocious getting in and out and everyone leaving and coming all at once
Appreciate the availability of a variety of sports and age groups and location options. Would recommend having an assistant coach for teams or encouraging coach to accept help from willing parents
Family orientated
Have been very happy with the program and how things are run.
Everything is very organized and efficient. Everyone is responsive and communicates efficiently. Extremely well run program and glad to be a part of it.
I’m very upset that for tball they are playing on all grass. It makes it hard for the ball to go anywhere and teach them how to play.
Honestly, I think the program is very expensive for what we get out of it, especially for the 3-4 year old groups. To pay the amount each Family does for the program and have volunteer coaches is crazy to me.
Also, the parking situation is chaos on Saturday mornings. Perhaps if games were scheduled with 15 minutes between parking might be better.
Not worth the money.
Too many people crammed in a very small field and parking lot. Our first game didn’t get cancelled because of rain/lightening until 5-10 minutes before it was supposed to start. The communication has not been great.
YMCA Youth Sports are a great way to get kids active and get them into various sports to see what they like. I don't believe my 2nd grader has learned much during coach pitch baseball. It's a good way to get kids playing but not at teaching them the skills and rules of the game.
The parking lot is packed on game days. Could use a better traffic flow - possibly enter from east - 156th, exit to Ida St.
The WestView location is complete chaos. There are WAYY TOO MANY games at one time. The parking lot, driving in, and even walking to the field is way too busy for a kids sports game. More importantly only having 6 games a season vs the traditional 8 is doing a disservice to the community and is what’s going to drive my kids and others family (confined from other moms I’ve spoken too) to leave the y and find someone else to do youth sports through.
I’m a pool user. For over 3 mos in women’s locker room shower stall for handicap NOT fixed. After several times reporting very few people (3) come to Saturday aqua class 7:15am—-since changed to jazzercize. When it was regular aquacize always had 9-12 people. Since January and multiple reports requesting to change class back- NO help.
My issue is with billing. My payments are different all the time without an explanation as to why. Varying from 84-115$. I thought the Y was supposed to be affordable for families but 100$ a month is getting to be a bit much.
The facilities are very nice and clean. Loved the water exercise class.
Love love love the facility and the staff's friendliness. I just wish the hours were later...even an hour later closing time would go a long way.
Love the "Y" but one of the water instructors is sarcastic, inappropriate, and unfortunately has the majority of the classes.
Very welcoming and caring staff
How clean and fresh it looked. Like the instructors
1) Too many people use the weight machines as a place to rest or to check their cell phones whlle others are waiting to use the machines. 2) The Evolt machine is close to the windows and the glare on the screen makes it diffficult to read. 3) The televisions seem to always be showing repays of NFL games. Are their other options like news, game shows or something educational?
If someone lives nearby I would recommend this ymca.
The pool is really good, well maintained with good classes for everyone! Plz add more carpets to make it less slick to go to family rooms and chg rooms.
More lap swim hours with more lanes
Staff is excellent
In the morning, it would be nice if staff walked through the weight room to keep people moving through their workout. I constantly have to get the attention of someone on a machine because their head is down playing on their phone or changing the song.
It would be nice when things are broken that they get fixed sooner than over several months. I.e. women’s handicap shower, sauna wooden slats,
Michelle and Carmen do a nice job. Dan is wonderful at the pool. He should be used as an example when training new staff-he goes above and beyond which is appreciated by many of the swimmers and walkers.
Instead of offering tshirts and other incentives, keep membership low. Thank you
Please stop allowing people to wear flip flops while working out. I thought you had to wear appropriate foot wear.
Great staff! While parking is not a problem in the summer, would love to know that the school has a plan to enforce student parking. So frustrating to see them parking in Y spots, even the senior citizen spots. I don’t mind walking, but there are those that aren’t able.
Location, variety of group classes, senior potlucks
The friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness, and the pool staff
The staff are excellent greeting members, Trainers, life guards, everyone is so kind. The facilities are always clean and always trying to make improvements.
Clean, spacious, reliable
The family bathrooms are ALWAYS, ALWAYS dirty and used by people who are not using it with a family. I get tired of waiting with my two children for someone to exit who does not wish to walk to the regular bathrooms. This is not the case sometimes, but 90% of the time they are being used by people who do not have a family. If people want a private bathroom, then one should be available for this specific purpose.
The temperature in the gym is always too warm, winter and summer
I love the equipment, the layout, and the sauna. It isn't close to our home but I've always been a Y member and former Board member in my previous community.
The instructors are welcoming, very competent. Classes are fun. I enjoy the community we have at this YMCA.
The Low Impact Strength Training class is very large on Mondays and Wednesdays. That makes it fun but it is also crowded. I have belonged to other gyms where people sign up for a class. That may be an option. When there are 35-44 people, the room is very crowded.
I love that we have a sauna and steam room and Les Mills classes. The instructors like Lesley, Ashley, and Jamie are the best ever!! Don’t like that when things break that we have to wait on the school to fix it. The pool is “heated” but it is a lot colder than it should be
I love training with Jesa. She is amazing.
I liker everything except there's no hot tub or steam room.
